BOA - Week 9 Monday continued

So my day turned out to be pretty interesting: go to work, go to the Medical clinic, go home, go BACK to the medical clinic..... You know, I think everyone in Calgary decided they needed to see a doctor today. I checked in at 11:30 this morning and didn't see a doctor until 4:00 this afternoon. It's a good thing that I was allowed to go home in the meantime. ANYWAY, he takes one look at my hand and all it's puffed up glory and says "it's infected". Gee...ya think? Next thing you know, I'm getting a tetanus shot and taking pills the size of a dime.
So no workout today. And I ate 7 cookies. (they didn't make my hand feel better but they sure were tasty) My hand hurts, my arm hurts and my shoulders hurt. I have a headache. I'm a mess. At least my blisters don't sting anymore.

    Glad you managed to get some antibiotics for the hand! I'm a long-time cat lover and have only been properly bitten once - again, infected, again antibiotics. According to our vet, if you get properly bitten by a cat then you're practically guaranteed to get an infection.

Fingers crossed that the drugs work quickly - I'm always useless the first day I go on antibiotics but then everything gets easier. And I hear ya about the wait - if I have to see the docs I budget an entire morning.

BOA - Week 9 Monday

I'm up one to 122.5 this morning. Bleh. I'm betting that tomorrow it'll be gone again but whatever. :~)

Challenges:
Cardio - 15 kms! walk it, bike it, skate it
Strength - 2 full body workouts
Nutrition - Fruit/Vegs 6 Water 2L and stay within your calorie range on 5/7 days
**Bonus - try one new workout**

So far, this challenge has been about maintenance for me. Here's hoping that if I can't lose, I don't gain either.
I decided to skip Bootcamp this morning. Between my blisters and my cat bite, I'm not very chipper. I can't grip with my right hand and I'm thinking shoes are going to be a VERY painful accessory. LOL, sucks to be me today.

Not a bad day until the snackfest......

Saturday -
Cardio/Strength: none
Fruits & Vegetables: 5 servings

Sunday -
Cardio: 1 hour/9km LSD run & 2 hour/10km walk
Fruits & Vegetables: 2 servings of fruit
Calories in: 1633 + chilli and two shortbread cookies
Calories out: 958

Today's run was SO awesome! I felt great... took the hills like they weren't even there. The weather was perfect (albeit snowy) and the company was fantastic. I absolutely love running in the winter. Even when we have to dress like this.

    It was somewhere between -25 and -30 depending on whether the wind was blowing or not.

I slept ALL day today. I woke up long enough to eat and watch Ellen and maybe a few snippets of other shows and that's about it. I'll make up for it tomorrow. Bootcamp's at 7:15. If I have ANY energy after that, I'll do a short dreadmill run. emoticon
