BOA - Week 7 Saturday

I had a really eventful day. I worked until 12:30 and then I headed to Cardel to the blood donor clinic. For the second time since I've been donating, I was turned away for low iron. I was so bummed. I used to be very good about monitoring my iron intake and the moment I let my guard down BAM, low iron. Home for a sandwich (tuna LOL) and I was on the road again.

My next stop was Inner Spirit Photography. I have to say that, for as nervous as I was, it was a LOT of fun. I spent five hours in various stages of undress and in about a hundred different positions. I have a whole new respect for models because it is not easy to relax and feel comfortable and it is NOT easy to hold a pose. I go back to pick out my favourites on Monday, the 10th. From what I saw today, I should have no trouble picking out a half dozen or so.

Nutritionally, today was another good and bad day.
Three servings of fruit, three of vegetables, 3.5 litres of water.... and 2370 calories. Over again.

So here's my newest goal: NO fast food for the remainder of November.
This is going to take some willpower.

    I am so glad your photo shoot went so well! I'm pretty excited to have a photo shoot of my own soon! (well, I definitely will be having one in April before my show!!!)

How do you rectify your low iron situation?

BOA - Week 7 Friday

I was doing really well today and then I got hungry. Really, really hungry. So I had some pretzels, twizzlers and banana bread. Now I'm really over on calories. 508 over. Omigosh. I think my nerves about my photos have kicked in full throttle.
Alright, focus on the good:
4 servings of fruit
4 servings of vegetables
1 hour of BodyStep and 15 minutes on the Cross Trainer (elliptical w/attitude)
2L of water
I burned off more calories today than the amount that I went over by. Hopefully, that means I'll maintain and not gain this week.
Fingers crossed.

Ok, the internet demons just ate my blog!! I'm not happy!

I'm feeling pretty accomplished at the moment. It's only lunch time and I've hit all of my "goals" for today. I did a 5 km run this morning (40 minutes & 560 calories), I've had two good servings of fruit and I have another waiting for afternoon snacktime. I've had three servings of vegetables. I've already had 1.5L of water. Another .5L should not be an issue. emoticon
It's a good day. Best part is, if I keep on track, I'll be within calorie range for the second day in a row.
OH! and I did a half an hour of strength training in BodyPump class! (un)fortunately, my client showed up and I had to bail early but I still got a good upper body workout and a ton of squats in. emoticon

Update: I had a total of 3Ls of water, 4 servings of fruit and 3 servings of vegetables yesterday. I also ate Pringles and earned myself a nasty case of cramps and heartburn. They're officially off my list. My calories for the day 2238. That's 268 over. Bleh.

Fruit 4, Veggies 4, Water 3.5L Calories consumed 1850 (within range!)
Cardio - 33 minute (3.5k) walk - burned 136 calories 6 minutes on XT ellyptical - 60 calories
Strength - 2 sets of the Fitfix circuit PLUS adductor/abductor and glute exercises.

All goals - ACCOMPLISHED!!

Plan of attack for Thursday - Running during downtime @ work. Three servings each of fruits and veggies.

Today I used the gift certificate that the girls from my last HM clinic gave me and got a manicure and a pedicure. It was awesome! I also had my eyebrows waxed and tinted. emoticon Now I'm feeling all purty and stuff. My photos are set for this coming Saturday so I needed to ready myself. I still don't feel ready LOL but I think it's the nerves talking.
Or it could be that I haven't been feeling good about what I've been eating these past two days. I don't know where the impulsiveness is coming from but it has to stop.

Fruit 4, Veggies 3, Water 2.5L Calories consumed 2289 (319 over)
Cardio/Strength - none
Fruit 2, Veggies 2, Water 2.0L Calories consumed 2239 (269 over)
Cardio/Strength - 39 minute (4k) walk - burned 163 calories

Plan of attack for Wednesday: Run during downtime @ work. Do the circuit twice. Three servings each of fruits and veggies.
