I need to share this with you all. I have to admit, I have tears streaming down my face and I'm choking back even more...

"Let us honor and respect our bodies for what they do instead of despising them for how they appear. Focus on living healthy and active lives, let our weight fall where it may, and consign our body hatred in the past where it belongs."

    Very good story. In our home it wasn't that mama was fat, she alwasy told me I was overweight, getting a moon face, ect. When my ex started cheating on me and I had my second battle with an eating disorder I just knew it was because I wasn't thin enough. Praise God to be healed and out of that mental place. The one thing I didn't want for my girls was to feel they had to look or be a certain way to be of value.

    I read this a few months ago and it hit me just like it hit you! It also made me realize I AM NOT FAT! I am BEAUTIFUL! My daughters told me so!

I love this post by SKINNYINMYHEAD so I'm saving it here:

A Goal with a "face"

What works for me is having a goal with a "face" .. which means there is a powerful image that engages as many senses as possible.. so that when I'm challenged by a temptation to eat crap or not exercise, I can call upon the emotionally powerful image or "face" to keep my focus.. how do you know your goal has a "face"? when you really think of your goal, does it MOVE you? Does your heart beat faster? Do your eyes mist up? Give your goal a "face".. a plan and a deadline.. then talk about it!

    My goal has a face like a Race time clock that reads under 2 hours for a 1/2. It would give me a qualifying time for NYC marathon.

Use Everthying!

This can't be said enough: use EVERYTHING!
Track your nutrition, water, freggies and exercise.
Join the teams. JOIN THE BLC! Look at your spark summary calendar. Blog your good days and bad days so you can reach out for help OR help someone who is reaching out. Taking a multivitamin daily but you're getting forgetful? Use the planner to send you a reminder every morning.
Explore all the options. Use them to your advantage. It really works!
