My "Before" Pic.

Tuesday, November 11, 2008

Here is me today at 198 lbs. Not my highest weight ever, that would be 222 lbs. But I haven't been the heaviest for a couple of years now, so it seemed appropriate. I am still plugging along with my boot camp. A little frustrated because I cheated and peaked at the scale and am a little heavier than when I started this on Sunday, but I am going to keep pushing through. Maybe I am just holding water or something. We'll see what my weight is at my real way in on Sunday.

Boot camp Day 1 Done!

Sunday, November 09, 2008

I did very well on day 1. I did my 2 sessions of cardio and also did strength training. I also stayed in my calorie limits. I went to the store and bought lots of veggies and fruits, oat meal, and other healthy foods. I am going to prepare my lunch for tomorrow, and I will bring healthy snacks with me. If I can keep this up for a whole week I know I will see a difference and feel better. What am I saying? NOT IF...When the week is over I know I will be feeling and looking better.

My personal boot camp

Sunday, November 09, 2008

Today starts my own personal boot camp. For the next 7 days I will:

1. Do 2 sessions of cardio EVERY day. (except for rest day)
2. Do 3 sessions of weight training over the week.
3. Eat clean.
4. Stay in my calorie range.
5. Take 1 rest day.

My weight is starting out today at 197.4 I will weigh again next Sunday...stay tuned!

Back off the couch!

Wednesday, October 29, 2008

Today I got back to my couch to 5k training. I had previously finished week 4, but decided to start week 4 again since I was not up to working out for 2 whole weeks. It was hard today, but I think I will be ready for week 5 next week. But if Im not...thats ok! I will keep doing week 4 until I am ready. I WILL get there! Its just taking me longer than most people:)

Tomorrow I am going to walk and strength train. I am going to start taking weekly pics of myself to see the difference.

  How are you feeling?

I, too, have taken a few days off from jogging. The inside of my knees are hurting and I don't know what I have done differently. So until we are stronger, we just have to do what our bodies will bear.

Good luck on week 4!!! or 5!!!

Still getting better

Tuesday, October 28, 2008

Hi all! Great news...I didn't have a headache all day yesterday, and not today either!...Headache free! emoticon I'm actually very surprised. I really thought it would take a while since my body might be going through withdrawals from all the crap I've fed it.

One of my problems is when I get severely anemic, I start craving sugar and other junk. I am working on getting my anemia under control but I know it cant get a whole lot better till I have endometrial ablation or a hysterectomy. I am taking steps to get the ablation done first. If you are not familiar with what that is, its where they burn the lining of the uterus to stop or lighten your monthly visitor. Right now I am trying to keep my iron levels high enough to avoid a blood transfusion. Anyway, things are looking up!

I'm so glad you're feeling better! After having chronic headaches, doesn't it feel weird to NOT have a headache?

I've heard very good things about the endometrial ablation. A good friend of mine had one and she is feeling a lot better. I had a hysterectomy in 2001 (37 years old), and I would recommend trying the ablation first.

Great news indeed! emoticon

Very glad your headache has disappeared.
Sounds like you have some other heath issues that you are dealing with. Well, one "literal" step at a time, and you will be ONE HEALTHY WOMAN!!!!
