REAL good, REAL bad, and REAL me!

I have been doing this for a good while now, ups and downs it is a REAL ride!
I still am at 160lbs, I do want to reach my goal of 140 this year. I get exercise everyday, but I still love food a bit too much! It seems like I will do great and then I slip. Like something takes me out of my routine and I lose it... I need to be more REAL and accountable for myself. I think I blame my over eating on the situation around me, instead of planing ..Planing is the key ...have a plan then have a plan B. SO I am going to start writing it out get back to basics! Baxk to writing Menus and plugging in the workouts to see where I am falling short. BUT as I said I am being REAL and I know it is the food! Ever since I stopped smoking I have now FULL/ stop button.. Like I would always want to finish with the cig and well I still haven't for a good thing to stop myself with ... dessert just makes it worse lol?? ..?? anyone want to give a few suggestions?
I was surprised to see I was motivator of the day(MOD) was a reminded to get my head back in it! I have been doing great for 2 weeks now and with school starting back up and kids getting back to a routine it will be easier to get into one myself! I am still VERY PROUD of myself for keeping it off and keeping up the exercise BUT I want to realize my goal I want to complete this...I want to be DONE!!

    In your own words: a slip up is not a failure it's a reminder.
No matter what you are well able to get to your goal weight by Dec 31, 2010. Take it one day at a time and see yourself at the goal weight. Think inside what you really want and what is the purpose of food. To fuel our bodies. Keep those items out of your house that cause you to eat opposite what you should eat. This plan should be for the entire household. God bless you and you can do this. I'm banking on being at my goal also by the end of the year and I have much more to lose. But WE can do this!

I am back up to 170.
I lost my fire for running and most all exercise.
I am having a hard time with food.
I have been stuck at the same weight for a year.
I am DONE with this ....

I am running, I am biking I am swimming, I am BACK to it!!!

I can do it...for me!!!

Well I had to take a long look at myself after my last 1/2 Marathon was over ... And here it is :

I am Getting REAL with my food!

I have been about the same weight for almost 9 months now DANG it!! I have one person to blame ME!!

I workout and run a lot ...BUT then ..I eat pretty much all I want! I have been guilty off ice cream, pizza, breads and pastas and all that stuff is fine when you eat it in moderation. Well that once in a while had become a habit a weekly thing and some times more than once.
It is so funny what tricks the mid plays on you, how I would justify the food. I would tell myself "you run 20 miles a week and sometimes more, you go to the gym you can eat it" well If I ever want to get where I want as far as weight and getting rid of the gushy tummy then I need to STOP BS-ing myself. I have lost the same 10 pounds so many times in the last 9 months to have been at my goal 7 times already... Why do I blow it every time I get close? What am I afraid of? why? DO I feel safe at this weight? Do I hide in my weight? ...These are the questions I am dealing with right now!

SO I am on my 4th day of eating healthy and tracking! I feel really good, the bloat feeling is almost gone and I can tell a difference in my skin and well lets just say All over!

I also started Jillian Michael's 30 day shred and OK I can run 13.1 miles and not be as sore as I am right now. Today will be day # 3 on level 1 and my upper inner thighs are killing me! I love/ hate here LOL

So I decided to take measurements to keep track of it all.
My body type is an apple, I hold all the weight in my middle (tummy, back and inner thighs).... I am ready to work past this and get to my goals!

Not sure is I measured in the right places but here it is:

I am 5ft. 5 inch with shoes lol
Neck 13
right arm(around bic.) 11 1/2
left arm (around bic.) 11 3/4
waist (above belly button) 35
booty 42
left thigh (upper) 22
right thigh (upper) 22
left calf 14 3/4
right 14 3/4

I need to be accountable for every bit of food!!!

I also have not weighed in weeks so on Friday I will weigh in **scary

    We do like to fool ourselves with little mind games, don't we? I know I've been doing the same thing with food this year...knowing how hard I work out, I allowed myself to eat more than I had been...and then a little more...and then a little more...for the past couple of weeks I've been really careful and the number on the scale reflects that. So it looks like we're in pretty much the same place...

Oh my, Jillian is crazy...the shred workouts are awesome (I hate you have a race this weekend? If so, good luck!!

    You can do it. BTW, I picked up the April issue of Runner's World which has a weight-loss for runners feature. Lots of dieters do this- runners should do that instead. Like eating more healthy fats, complex carbs and basically make sure they fuel their machine.

    Kick that munchie monster for me too. I have started tracking again. I do the same thing but I say just one bite won't hurt. If it was just one bite, it probably wouldn't hurt but it turns into more than one bite. It is like tempting yourself with that irresistable taste and sweet aroma. Get away from me junk food! We can do this. You have a great plan are doing good. Keep it up. I am right behind you. Pam

I DID IT ..I DID IT!!!! 1/2 marathon!!

WOW ... what can I say, **SCREAMING "I DID IT, I DID IT!!!

I set out to RUN my second 1/2 marathon for my Auntie who has lung Cancer and I DID IT!
I set out to RUN the whole 13.1 miles and I DID IT!! I set out to beat my last time of
2 hours 57 minutes and 26 seconds and I DID IT!!!

Most of you know while I was training for my 1st 1/2 marathon I was in a car crash
and had to stop training all together and it was very hard to even complete. I had
to walk some and I was pretty bummed and well DAMN mad about the accident..
BUT all that is DONE!!

I came home and knew I wanted to do another one pretty soon! Looked around and
found one in my home town! How awesome is that, right here at home in B-town. I have been training here on all these hill and in this unpredictable Indiana weather SO, heck this is awesome!!!

I began training right away...every Sunday was a long run of at least 7
miles and 4 days in the week 2-5 miles on those days some Tempo runs
and some speed work some just fun!!

Well the day before the race I decided to cut my hair and give it to
Locks Of Love 12 inches ...what a great feeling to give a part of my to
help someone! Amazing!!

It was raining and cold all day and I was just hoping for Sun for the race!
Hubby takes me and the little boys out to our favorite pizza place for
dinner and I eat up a good meal. We get home and sweet Hubby tells me
to get to bed. I Text my dear friend Heather ...she is racing tomorrow also!! We pump each other up she is so dear to me!

I call my Mom and get all her support all well wishes. I wish she could have done this one with me BUT ya know!
Then I call my Auntie...she was resting so, I was off to bed!!

I get up shower, eat a little oatmeal with raisins, coffee and water take vitamins and 2 Tylenol and Get boys up and ready then we are off!!

I walk outside and it is amazing it is sunny and about 45 degrees perfect for racing!!

I get there with 10 minutes to spare hug my Babies and Kiss Hubby and take my place!
I decided NOT to look at the time, NOT to call anyone this time it is me and my thoughts this is my race for my Auntie and me!!

I start out and first things right into a hill, then 1st mile down then another hill this one is 2 miles long. SO, I am not going to give you a total play by play ,,BUT Let me just tell you I believe the hill to flat- down grade was like this 60% hills and I am not talking little hills people LOL!
Some sick individual that it would be a good idea to put the steepest hill
at mile 12 HELLO??

My Hubby and little boys cheered me on at Start, mile 1, 4, 10 and finish line it was awesome!
To have them there meant the world to me!

Well... There I was 12 1/2 miles into it and I crest the last little hill
and I see it ...the finish line, the crowd, I hear the announcer and I just get
this BURST I start running like crazy...I don't know where it came from but I was flying ..
I hear the announcer say"and look at this young lady she looks like she just started look at # 467 Ijah McCUlley" I then see my kids and Hubby they are so proud and yelling "go Mommy" and my Hubby's fist in the air in victory for me, AMAZING!!! I get my water and medal , the boys run over to me and Hubby takes me in his arms and says "you did it
you beat your time I just hold on to him and YEP cry my eyes out!!

I call my Auntie and tell her how it went we both cry and laugh and cry
and it was awesome to have her in my heart the whole way and everyday!!

Oh yes my Official time was 2 hours 23 minutes and 46 seconds!! Beating my old time by 33.40 WOO HOO !!

For all that are touched by cancer!!...Another 1/2 Marathon

Indiana University Circle of Life Mini Marathon would prove to challenge future generations of young business men and women, running connoisseurs, and heartfelt cancer patients and survivors to always Believe.

This one is for my Beautiful, Sarcastic, Hilarious and Incredibly Strong and Courageous Aunt Karen Grace. She Has Lung cancer and this women is AMAZING! She is a grandmother...not just a Grandmother a ACTIVE Grandmother ...spends time every day with them ..always provoking their young minds to think to challenge to create and to want more...just as she did with me in my childhood!!!!!

She is also a Hilarious Comedian

She also makes the best Chocolate Cream pie dessert!!
True Story
When I was about 9 years old she had made one of her pies it was summer so hot!!! Well My Auntie went out to do yard work or something..BUT there I was ALONE with the fridge and the pie in it UGHHH I remember being absolutely drawn to the fridge I just poked a finger in and tasted well this went on for like an hour or so and by the time she came back in I had eat 1/2 the pie!!!! Oh it was for my cousins Birthday!!! Ya know I don't even remember her getting mad..I mean I am sure she was really upset but she didn't show it ..she looked at me and said"Ijah did you like the pie?..I guess I need to make 2 next time " LOL I Love you Aunt Karen Grace OH that's Grace to you all and everyone else ...I am the only one who can call her Karen!!

This race is going to be great!! I am getting to train properly and let us all pray no car accidents this time!!! I want to shave 27 minutes of my last 1/2 marathon time, that would bring me a finish time of 2 hours 30 minutes!! I can do it!!! As sure as people can continue to fight cancer and continue to be beautiful people.....I will do this for My Auntie!!!

    Wow. This is like a month away. With the motivation of your sweet aunt behind you I am sure you will get that goal time you are looking for. I hope your aunt is doing well. Lung cancer has affected our family as well. You are running for a great cause.
