Sounds like a great plan! It helps to have what you want to do all planned out, then you don't have to think about what you're going to do each day!

Trigger Food - Chips!

Sunday, February 20, 2011

As part of the 5% challenge I have decided not to eat chips for the duration of the challenge. My husband likes to have chips if we watch TV at night and I usually can't resist. As soon as I have one it's game over. When I want chips I am going to think to myself - "everyday I have a choice and my choice is not to have chips, they are not worth it!"

Great goal... I'm doing the same thing w/ soda (both regular & diet). We can do this!!!

You're a brave woman to committ to that goal! There's that estimate that it takes 28 days to form a habit. Assuming the same is true of breaking a habit, by the end of the challenge you'll be way beyond kicking the chip habit!
Good Luck to you! emoticon

I'm with you. I do so much better if I don't even start on some things ... chips included. There are some things I just done have any control over, so I just need to avoid them.

What a great way to try to break a trigger food habit. Adding that to your challenge goals is a great idea. Good Luck.

Oh my... When there is a bag of Wavy Lays in front of me, that's it. I can't stop!! I don't buy chips for that very reason. Good luck with this :-)

Chips are a trigger food for me also and I can relate to what you said about "game over" after eating just 1. I'm also trying to cut back on eating them, I'm going to have air popped popcorn instead when I need/want a treat. emoticon

Have him keep the chips on the other side of him, out of your reach.
