Planning a Menu for the July 4th Celebration...

Today I have family and friends coming over. I find that it is easier to stick with my recommended calorie intake because I have control over most of the foods we will be eating. I can also plan ahead based on what they are bringing to the table. I am headed out to pick up skinless chicken breasts (for the grill), watermelon, blueberries and strawberries, and corn on the cob. I am going to make homemade baked beans. I am also going to throw in a couple finger foods they like that I won't eat (tiny hotdogs in BBQ sauce, cheese and crackers, peanuts). Someone is bringing homemade hamburgers for the grill, but I will stick with the chicken. And, last but not least...I will have my water bottle with me at all times so I limit my alcohol cals (which is Yeungling Light - 99 cals!!) I am tracking my food in Spark ahead of time to help keep me in line!!

Today Was Nice

Got up at 10 AM! was so nice to sleep in. Jogged then went to help my husband dock the boat then did some shopping at Walmart for boat stuff.
Had friends over for rest of day, enjoyed a nice dinner together and stayed within my recommended calorie daily intake. Yayyy!!

Tomorrow I am going tubing :)

Three day weekends are totally awesome! I am getting a lot of "spring" cleaning done and managed to get a 1.31 mile walk in this morning with my dog.

Stuck with my planned breakfast and lunch, going out with friends for fresh crabs- I live on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland - for dinner - Yum!! I am going to watch my beer consumption so I don't go over my suggested daily calorie intake. emoticon Bringing a bottled water with me -- always seems to help.

Tomorrow morning I am going to jog 3 miles and see how my foot holds up.
I really want to run another 5k in the next couple weeks.

I am so looking forward to this three day weekend! I cleaned the first floor of my house as soon as I got home and took my dog for a walk. I had a tasty bbq marinated tuna steak - courtesy of Trader Joe's. Now I am going to relax.

I know there will be a lot of temptations this weekend including alcoholic beverages, so I am planning on hitting the treadmill using my weightloss module every morning. Jilian Michaels is gonna kick my butt!

Getting Ready for the Holiday Weekend!!

The weekend is fast approaching, it will be so nice to have three days off from work. I really want to detail-clean my house (window sills, baseboards, etc.)
We always have a lot of company on July 4th, so it will give me good motivation to do it.

I am also going to find a 5k during the second weekend in July to run in.

After writing this, I realize I have my two goals for the weekend -- that and exercising, of course!!
