I finally got a small moment to blog...Just got a flat, waiting for my husband!
It's been a crazy week. Started with my son's 21st birthday weekend celebration, then yesterday I had to go to Long Island, NY for business. That was a 3.5 hour drive each way! I packed all my food for the entire day in a cooler so i did great on my cals. Today I packed my running stuff and ran 4.2 miles during lunch break. It was 72 degrees in Delaware.
I am so thankful to have the spark tracker phone app on weeks like this. It makes it so easy to keep up.

It's been a few days since I blogged, I haven't had a lot of time to go on the computer!
I did finish the January Jumpstart Challenge yesterday, I didn't get a chance to exercise at all Thursday between work and going out to dinner with friends.
Last night I went to a Pampered Chef/Tastefully Simple/Sell your gold/silver party! One of my old employees had it, it was fun catching up. She and her husband are hardcore runners - he won the Delaware Marathon the first year. There were other runners at the party too, it definitely was motivating to me.
There is a running club in Southern Delaware called the Seashore Striders Club. They have races all year. I ran in one last summer. I am going to sign up for a couple during these winter months. I find that I am more focused when I run races. And, they are a really nice group. I don't know of any around where I live in Maryland.
Today I cleaned my house, next I am running 3 miles outside (it is 50 degrees). I consider this cold, but am doing it today because FitForMyFamily thought my feeling cold at 50 was so funny! Then I will be off to buy my son a birthday gift & strawberry torte (his favorite) - he will be 21 tomorrow! He is my youngest. He has to work til 11:30 tonight and then is going to park his car at his best friend's house and go order a drink at one of his favorite restaurants. They live and hang out in a small college town so they can walk everywhere. I think a bunch of us are going to join him at midnight, so I am going to need a nap at some point today!

Today it was 54 degrees out, so as I went into work I thought about leaving work early and running outside. I loved running outside in Florida last week and miss it. I played my running music in my office which made me think about running as I worked. Well, it worked - I left the office at 1:30, went home and walked the dog, changed into my running clothes and away I went. I wore a pink underarmour jacket that didn't fit last year, and two layers of running shirts, running pants and a running scarf my son gave me for Christmas. I actually was sweating pretty good for over half of my run.
This was the coldest weather I have ever run in - I hate to freeze. The rest of the week is supposed to be in the upper 40's so I may try it again Thursday.
The best part was that I ran the entire route I used to run before my foot surgery! And, my time was the same! Yayyy!! So, now to get ready for the Delaware Marathon (I am on a relay team) I have to start increasing my miles. My goal will help to keep me focused as I move along. I am also going to start signing up for 5ks again.
It's great to be back in the groove!

Today I packed my lunch for work and ate breakfast and dinner at home. I had gone almost an entire week eating out due to vacationing in sunny Florida, so I was so relieved to be making my own food today. I made pretty good choices while I was gone, but I still will never know what was added at the restaurants. I gained 2 pounds so I definitely have to get back to basics!
I had to work longer hours today to catch up, then grocery shop, then do the laundry. I didn't get my run in. I did run everyday on vacation so it was probably a good time to take a break. I got everything done so I should be back on track with my cardio tomorrow. It's 8:45 and I am just sitting down for the night!
The weather is supposed to be 50 and sunny tomorrow. I am planning on running tomorrow morning on the treadmill and taking Roxy on a nice walk tomorrow afternoon after work.
