Ate 1132 calories today. Still under on fat, folate and calories. I am filled. I am eating all good, healthy foods and feeling really good. My husband and I went out to eat with our friends as we do every Thursday night, and I had a salad with grilled chicken, mandarin oranges, almond slices, and strawberries. I used 1 tablespoon of poppyseed dressing - YUM!
I used to have a couple glasses of red wine on Thursday nights, but haven't had any the past three Thursday nights. Not drinking it is what is keeping me under the 1500 calorie total. I do love red wine, but know that I need to stay away from it to lose the rest of this weight.
The restaurant we go to also has hot oil popcorn -- all you can eat. It is delicious, but I skipped that, too. I brought and ate nutrisystem honey mustard pretzels - I ended up sharing them with everyone!
I worked 5 1/2 hours today. My foot was feeling pretty numb the last hour at work. I prop it up when I am sitting at my desk, but I don't think it is high enough. It swells as the day goes on. After work, I went home and took a 1 1/2 hour nap. I am taking tomorrow off of work to give my foot a 3 day break. I am going to keep it up a lot. We are suppose to have bad weather Saturday, so I won't feel like I am missing anything! When I go back Monday, I am going to take breaks while I am at work, and prop it higher. I am not sure how I am going to do that, but I will figure it out.
Finally, I realized last night I am not supposed to weigh myself again until Saturday...so I will wait. I do not want to get obsessed with the scale like I always have in the past. I want to pay more attention to "feeling" healthy. Tomorrow or Monday I am going to get a blood test to see how my cholesterol is doing. It had gone up last year. Between eating healthy, exercising and taking Cholestoff since January, I am hoping it dropped back down.

Today my husband took me into work for about 3 hours. I got around good with my scooter - so glad the buildings are handicapped accessible! I got a lot of paperwork done, and caught up with some of my staff. I sat most of the time.
I brought a Nutrisystem lunch bar with me in case my husband wanted to go out to lunch while we were out. I planned on ordering a side salad and side veggie to go with it. That changed when he said he wanted to go to Chik Filet! He went through the drive-thru and I did not get anything! As we drove home, I had an "aha moment" -- no wonder it was taking so long to lose weight!! And, I was again thankful I had gone on a program before my surgery - I know I would have gained weight if I had not. I am proud to say I had my lunch bar and yogurt when I got home.
I made my family dinner tonight, too. I threw skinless chicken breasts in my crockpot this morning and they cooked all day coated with peach mango salsa.
I also made mashed potatoes, peas, broccoli, and served fruit cocktail. I had a Nutrisystem entree with the veggies and fruit. We all had a nice meal together and I was happy to be cooking again. I ate 1036 calories today.
Tonight I am going to look at the Chair Exercise DVD I received today in the mail if my husband gets a chance to bring the DVD player down from upstairs.

Today I didn't eat as much as I should have - 1075 cals. and low on carbs. I am not hungry today.
I went into work for about 3 hours to "catch-up" while no one was there. I am pretty tired. Was out with our friends until a little after midnight, wasn't sleepy so I messed around on the computer, and then one of my sons came down around 2 upset about school (college-grades-his major-his life), so I didn't get to sleep until around 3 AM! I woke up at 9 AM, so I am short about 2 hours. I am going to try to go to sleep earlier tonight, but I know he is going to want to talk again when he gets home from work around 11 PM.
I do feel stressed because he is in distress. I don't eat much when I am stressed - I actually lose my appetite.
Here's hoping he doesn't get in to late from work tonight!!
