Slight delay - pulled something

Wednesday, July 21, 2010

Somehow I managed to pull something in the back of my neck - seems like it is a bone on top of my spine. I got a couple stabbing pains there today so I took some Aleve and put some Bengay on it. I will have to ask someone what they think I hurt. My friend said I should take a tennis ball and rub around it. Hope it is better tomorrow.... emoticon

I'd see a chiropractor or a doctor if it persists. At least that won't delay eating healthy and staying within your calories.

No sleep but good day!

Thursday, July 15, 2010

Well, I got down on my hands & knees a few times (no kidding!) to make sure the scale was on the mark of zero before I got on it in my birthday suit...and weighed in today to my goal weight. Funny that the scale was up almost 3 lbs. yesterday morning!! You just can't trust that scale as sometimes it is a liar!

My White Lie isn't a Lie Anymore!

Wednesday, July 14, 2010

While opening a charge yesterday, the clerk asked to see my driver's license. She asked if everything was the same, and I said "No, I have lost 30 lbs." Then I said, "hey, my weight might be right on there now!" Upon looking at my license, it states I am 3 lbs. heavier than I am now. HAhaha. P.S. It doesn't expire until 2012!

My thought for the day!

Tuesday, July 13, 2010

If only someone would lock me up from say, 7 pm till bedtime, I would have a near impeccable healthy eating lifestyle! If someone could only whisk me away for awhile between those times! What to do, what to do?!

I think sometimes we are too hard on ourselves.....having a night time snack is not always a bad thing! Try munching on fruit like cantaloupe or watermelon. These fruits are mostly water and not so bad to eat as a night time snack!! Good luck!!!

I truly understand and agree. It is not fair that I can't comfort myself with food at night. And I've heard all the above for so many times I could scream. It isn't fair that it is so important to control myself. I shouldn't have to MAKe myself stop eating. I should just want to normally because I really want this healthy, thinner body, I really do. So why can't I. I've heard HALT. Am I really Hungry, Angry,Lonely, or Tired.??Maybe we should change our bedtime to 6:30 or 7p.

When you get the answers and when you know what I need to write me, well write us all! Some in jest Brenda

Take a nightly stroll if possible. My friends and I walk downtown from 7PM until 8 PM and often visit our local library to get new magazines, books or movies. When I get back, (if I'm being on my good behavior) I go to bed and read until I am tired and go to sleep. If I'm on my bad behavior, I eat a bowl of low calorie microwave popcorn and a low calorie beverage in front of the TV and watch a movie or TV show and often fall asleep on the sofa. ( Not the best for my health and a big contributor to my insomnia)
The most important thing is to have a plan for those hours when you tend to snack. Plan healthy snacks so even if you do eat, it isn't the fattening stuff. Here are some of the things I try to keep available for evening snacks. Almonds, very dark chocolate, light beer, low fat microwave popcorn, already cut up veggies and no fat ranch to dip them in, fruit, Skinny Cow or Weight Watchers ice cream or fudge bars. I try to limit myself to about 300 calories for my evening snack, but even if I get carried away on these things, I have burned about 250 calories walking downtown. emoticon

Take ahold of yourself and force yourself if need be to not night time binge. It IS up to you hon. You'd only fight us if we did the job for you. LOL
