You've Gotta LOVE New Shoes!

I bought new running shoes! What I ended up buying was my second pair of Asics w/the gel soles! I loved my first pair...as they seem to fit well & put a spring in my step! My legs don't fatigue & I get ample support! I saw no need to change !

So, I'm ready to hit the pavement once more! emoticon Woohoo! I'll be testing 'em out here shortly!

Today, I will go for a walk/run this morning to test out my new shoes! And I think I'll be attending a ZUMBA class at 4:30 pm today! All the ladies at the Y say it's a fun class & are encouraging me to go! Mind you, I've not done classes later in the day 'cause my high energy time has always been in the morning. I'm not certain I can function that well in late afternoon...but I'm willing to give it a try! We shall see! I'm also due to perform ST today for 20 minutes today!

I CAN do it!

And an update on how the increased calories per day is coming along! I've cut back a little...still eating above the 1200-1500 caloric range but below the recommended adjustment range. Let's just say that I'm not at all comfortable w/having that much leave way & I do better w/a more controlled & restrictive range. Again, we shall see on weigh in day (Wednesday)!

How do you like the gel soles?
I have never tried Asics before...will check them out!
Have fun at Zumba this afternoon, too. (I seem to have more energy for exercise in the morning too. But every group-type of class I have ever taken has been in the late afternoon or early evening. )

Thanks for the reminder to control what I eat..I'm getting lots of exercise but haven't been careful with what I've been eating and need to take your advice..I have friends comin over this afternoon for tea and bringing cake for a late Birthday...

Take the Time!

Take time to cool off today my friends! I don't know how the weather's been for you all, but here in Naples, we hit a record high of 97 yesterday! Ewwweeeeeeeee! It was HOT HOT HOT! Oh, I'm not complaining, just stating a fact! Actually, the humidity level has been decent & we do get a gentle Gulf breeze ...so it's very pleasant!

And I'm LOVIN' the emoticon!!!

I'm gonna be doing a little shopping today, looking for a new pair of running shoes... 'cause, you guessed it! I've worn mine out! Laughing....

Well, with whatever you've got planned today....make it a GREAT one! Get out & enJOY!

    Hi there we were in the 60's today and we walked the gardens and i took picture i hope there are enough hours for me to get this all done. Too bad you cannot stretch the days out without wearing yourself out. We did have great day though HUGS Pat in Maine.

A New Day!

A new day is upon us my friends! And with each new day that arrives, there's another opportunity for us to remain (or get back) on track! Don't ya just LOVE it!

Well, if you haven't already heard, I've updated my fitness tracker to actually reflect the amount of fitness (90 minutes) I actually perform each day! And alas, my calories have been automatically adjusted as a result! Now, I have to admit to you all that I've been ignoring the prompt on my fitness tracker for a while now! I resisted the adjustment, cause I thought it would demand MORE of me...& I thought I was giving enough already! Well! I never thought it would give me more calories! LOL If I had only known...!

Silly me! emoticon

Anyway, I'm feeling MUCH better! I'm going to continue eating on the lower range tho, cause it seems like an awful lot of calories to be consuming! We shall see how it all pans out on weigh in day!

And thank you all for your invaluable input! You all bring me much JOY!

Today....

I WILL do a ZUMBA class this morning......oh how I'm LOVIN' the ZUMBA!
I WILL walk w/hubby after dinner for 30 minutes!
I WILL remain in my NEW caloric range!
I WILL drink the water!
I WILL be mindful & make good choices!

    I understand because I had the same issue and therefore I try to accurately put in my fitness because the more you burn the more your body actually needs! I love that it does all the hard work for me! I am glad you re=-adjusted Rose!

    You make a great point to adjust our fitness tracker when prompted. Your body knew best!
I bet you will continue to lose weight at the rate you have been losing - even when eating more. You'll keep the 'fire stoked' so you can run more efficiently!
I bet too, that you are burning way more calories in Zumba and your other classes than you imagine.
Great daily goals! Know you will meet them!

    Good ya!! emoticonI need to get used to my new calorie range too. It's now 1580-1930 and I particularly need to get used to the idea that I need to eat over 1580 calories every day, even on the days I don't excerise! I am used only eating about 1480-1560 and that's with gyming! emoticon

Re-evaluating!

Contemplation is a fine thing! Don't you think?

I must admit to you my dear friends, I've been so hungry these last few days! And yesterday I was beginning to not feel well. So I made the decision to eat more...cause my body was telling me I needed to! And oh my! What a difference it made! I felt so much better having the extra calories! Imagine that! Smiling.....

If any of you know me at all...you know I'm very focused when I choose to! And part of my being strives so hard to attain a goal! So much so that I become tunnel-visioned! Today, I will take the time to re-evaluate my fitness & caloric intake & see what needs to be done! I feel an adjustment is needed!

Let's just say I'm due for my 3,000 mile check up! emoticon

For today...

I WILL do an hour of "Drums Alive"! Oh, how I enJOY this class!
I WILL drink the water!
I WILL walk w/hubby after dinner for 30 min!
I WILL examine my "input" & "output" to recalculate my efforts!

And I'll keep you posted!

    Good for you for listening to your body. It can be a challenge.
You will find the perfect balance. I think this whole process of getting healthier requires a re-evaluation from time to time to keep moving forward for the long haul.

    I like it! I agree with the re-evaluating. I believe if we exercising a lot then probably the calorie intake needs to be recalculated also.

    Hi every Wednesday regular as clockwork the tracker gives me a lecture to eat more.
I am NEVER hungry and i never crave,that is one great advantage to being poor but with a mother and grandmother who knew how to feed their families the right food.
Milk eggs and meat were our necessities and they made sure we got those sweets(Dessert) Candies and cakes were never necessities.

The consequence of this is I do not feel hungry till I feel HYPO, I have to make sure I am hypo so I test, its the only way for me to be vigilant. I carry my Glucose pills with me and they help if i am away from home like on the trail. I always carry a supply of 24 Almonds to a baggies in both cars.
I am so happy we connected. I sat and re-evaluated my fitness last night. I got there before this blog of yours and was surprised when I read it. I am going for ST 3-maybe 4 times only each week. I need more time with hubby. Thanks Pat in Maine

    Feel better. Be careful and take care . Some times is so good to move that we cant stop to look around. I have hurt myself several times from overdoing and paying the prize with pain , gaining weight because I could not exercise for a long time. I eat healthy but my problem is never enough, not close to the calorie range. Be healthy and happy. You can do it! I believe in you. emoticon emoticonLuba

    Hooray for you listening to your body and paying attention to what it's telling you.
Sometimes we get caught up in striving for perfection, we are after all just human and need to remember to watch out for warning signs. Everything happens in it's own time , we don't want to rush to goal too fast. Stay healthy! emoticon

    I was walking far more than I had originally planned and I started getting messages from the nutrition tracker that I needed to adjust my calories if I planned to be consistent. The fitness and nutrition trackers do work together as long as you are truthful logging in both. I am really glad that you are feeling better.

    Rose being a diabetic as you are you do have to strive for a different caloric intake then others. you have to have protein, your body needs it. Maybe have a few more snacks but keep the meals as they are. Just an idea. You are rockin'.. look at you go, so glad you have found something that you like to do (the drums).. Donna
