Today was a very good day. Stayed on task with food, water, & exercise. Grandbaby went home to her momma. Cleaned most of the day in anticipation of a call from Howard Hanna. I'm working four days this gotta be prepared! Went grocery shopping so I can pack lunches for the week. Planned well...think ahead, think ahead! I've noticed that I'm getting VERY hungry just before dinner. I mean EXTREMELY hungry. And I notice that I'm eating too fast. I mean, eating so fast that I get a cramp in my chest when I swallow. I've tried drinking a glass of skim milk shortly before I eat ....and that helps some but I think my body needs something else. I'm going to experiment w/different things to see what I can do to remedy this. Anyway, all is well... and another day bites the dust!

    You may want to consider having some protein as an afternoon snack. This is what I do and it helps tide me over for dinner. I have some deli meat or a cheese stick or some cottage cheese. Almonds would work too but you have to be careful about the fat in the nuts.

Constantly have to pee!

This is my second week. I'm drinking all my water & eating nutritiously. I'm exercising. All is well & good when I'm home & close to the bathroom. But, traveling about in the car & going places, well....not so good! I constantly have to pee! I know, I know...this is a GOOD thing! But, is it??? I'm telling myself that I'm washing away ALL the fat each time I do! LOL Anyway, got the grandbaby for the weekend. LOVE having her, so gonna keep it short & sweet! Goals met for the day! Wahhooooo!

    I can't do without my water. Monday, I have surgery so can't eat or drink anything after Midnight tomorrow night. Waaaaa! I'll be glad to have the surgery done though. It is an umbilical hernia and has been keeping me down for a while. Good luck!

Had an absolutely fabulous day! Got out & walked twice today, thanks to hubby. Went to the farmer's market & stocked up on fruits & veggies. Drank all my water. Tracked my foods. All is well in my world! Looking forward to the weekend! Waahhooooo! Life is good!

Just feel tired today...

Today was a looooong day. I got early & was at work by 9 am. Traffic was awful. Work was okay....I got out early. Came home & took a nap. Just feel tired today. I did good w/tracking my foods today. Was a little frustrated this morning because I couldn't get the program on SP to look up my foods. I did it when I got home from work & there was no problem. I have no idea what the problem was this morning. Had salmon w/brown rice for dinner. Salmon was very tasty! Roped hubby into taking a walk w/me after dinner. I didn't realize it was so hot out! I was pretty sweaty by the time we got back! Drank ALL my water today! So, all is well in my world! I think I'll get to bed early tonight...tomorrow's another day!

Weigh in day!

Today was weigh in day....with 1 week down! And, I lost 2 pounds! Waahhooo!! Now, I need to keep the momentum going! Did my walking DVD w/Leslie this AM. Went pretty well. I did remember to warm up first. Hip bothered me a little...but not too badly. I even took an evening walk after dinner w/hubby! Just felt good! Got my eight glasses in! Tracked my foods today...I'm aware I went over on my carbs & fiber today! Hmmm...TOO much of a good thing! What I think is happening is that I guestimate my salad fixings because, well....I put EVERYTHING in my salad! Cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, beets, spinach, mushrooms, etc. I estimate amounts because it's minute amounts of each. I don't know any other way to document these veggies. And the fiber, well...I ate a fiber bar when I needed I fix. A fiber one bar packs a wallop to my fiber count! Think I'm gotta lay off the fiber bars for now, since I'm getting all the fiber from fruits & veggies. Overall, today was a very good day! Sigh of relief! I completed my first week! Congrats to me!

    So glad you stopped by. You are off to a good start!!

I have one of Leslie's DVDs and enjoy walking with her - had to stop for a little while after i sorta fell - I bruised a couple of ribs and twisted my knee. So it really hurt to do much. But, am about mended now, and plan to start walking again.

Also, have a pedometer that i have started wearing all day to count steps. Not sure how accurate it is, but my goal is just to increase day by day.
