New addition on the way...

Well, I was just getting myself motivated to get the rest of the baby weight off when I found out I was pregnant again - 10/21/10. I didn't think it would be possible until I got in a bit better shape and had lost another few pounds, but I guess my body thought otherwise. Anyway, it's good news. We're excited and nervous. I'm wondering how I'll manage to take care of 2 when I can barely handle 1, but I'm sure I'll figure it out as I go.

Thanks for all of the great friends and people who have helped and inspired me to keep going! You can bet I will be back again after this baby comes so that I can once again aim for my goal weight. I still have some cute clothes that are stashed away for when I get back there. I know I can do it...I just have a small detour before I can work on it again. See you all again soon!

    I just happened on to your blog of your upcoming pregnancy. What happiness....
My granddaughter adopted a little girl last year on March 27th and then delivered her biological daughter last month (March 22nd) so she will be dealing with 2 little ones, also. ENJOY....

Even being Pg. you can eat healthy you know... emoticon

    Hey- I know you're busy but you can stay on SP and your healthy path even when you're pregnant! My DIL has 2 under 2 and she's here!

Renewed determination...

Ever since I had my baby, I have really struggled with trying to get motivated to lose weight again. I tried to start in January of this year and I joined some challenges and things, but I'm still the same weight as I was in January. I have recently been more dedicated with my exercise and have found some exercises I really like to do like Zumba and walking with my little boy. I have started doing strength training exercises a lot more also. However, the most important component, diet, has been very difficult for me to commit to. I know I can do it because I did it before for over a year and tracked my food every day. I have just been making excuses for why I haven't done it. Today I finally have renewed my determination to losing weight and I have started tracking!

I decided to do things a bit differently this time around and use the meal plans as my base so I don't have to make decisions about what to eat. I have found already that I really like the way the meal plans work. I'm actually excited to expand my taste buds a bit. I have already tried a couple of great meals today that I probably never would have tried before if I had to come up with it on my own. So, here's to a new resolve to track my food, eat healthier, and finally get rid of this baby weight! WOOHOO!!

Here I am at the beginning of a new challenge thinking this time things are going to be better. How am I going to do things differently than the last few challenges I have been in? Here are some questions I asked myself and the answers I came up with:

Why did I sign up? Well, I am sad to say, I am lacking motivation and am hoping that this challenge will help me to get more motivated and excited about losing weight again. When I was losing weight before, I found that challenges helped because I was with other people going through the same things as me. I want to lose inches and weight so that I can get in better shape to play with my son and so that we can try to have another child.

What are my goals? I want to lose at least 15 pounds during the 12 week challenge, but I really want to lose inches so that some of my smaller clothes fit me again. When I lost 110 pounds before, I didn't stay very long at my small size because I got pregnant right away. I'd like to lose some inches so I can put some of those clothes back on.

What is my plan? I will participate more in the challenge and do less playing on Facebook. I will eat at least 1 serving of freggie per meal. I will drink 8 cups or more of water per day. I will take at least 1 walk outside even if I can't do any other exercise during the day. I will not eat late at night and will cut back on the sweets to once a month instead of once a day. I will be positive and stop looking for excuses. This is going to be a great challenge and a great change in my life!

    Hiya!! Just read your blog today....I am cutting back on FB as well...My poor crops and cafe and treasure....LOL....Ok, I am just getting better at time management with them :-)

Let's do this!!! I love the challenge and I have been much more engaged than in the past so I think that this was my best decision yet and I love the Glads...so happy to be part of the group with you!!

    I started the BLC challenge also and it was a bit intimidating! You have set some great goals!!! We all lack motivation at times but you are doing great just taking the steps that you have!!!! The more challenges I am in the less time I am on Facebook too!! LOL So maybe this new challenge will help! emoticon emoticon

Happy New Year!

Well, after being out of the diet scene for awhile, I finally decided that I needed to get rid of the 30 pounds that I put back on after having Jacob. I am looking for a good way to exercise since it's still too cold outside to go for a walk and our gym membership expired. I have started logging my food again and am determined to get back down to my goal weight and stay fit so that we can have more kids when we are ready without having to lose a lot of weight again. Plus, I felt so much better when I was 30 pounds lighter. It makes a big difference - especially when you are carrying around a 20 pound kid besides!

I started a new challenge with my favorite team - STOP - and I'm way excited to see so many friendly faces still there. This is going to be a great year. Happy New Year everyone!

Baby Jacob was born!

April 21st, baby Jacob was born finally. I was induced at 6:30 AM and went through 14 hours of labor before the doctor decided to do a c-section. We got home from the hospital that Friday and we are both doing well. He was 7 lbs 7 oz and 21 3/4 inches long. He is beautiful!

    Congrats!!! He is absolutely beautiful!!! We were on BL challenge together before I got pregnant as well :) Sounds like our stories are very similar to what happened...they induced me, I was in labor for 8 hours (were you on pitocin?? if so, weren't those contractions TERRIBLE???) with non-stop contractions, and then they decided to do a c-section...so after 9 hours of labor they started doing the spinal (which having contractions while folded in half getting the spinal is not fun!) and I had her after exactly 10 hours almost to the minute :)

She was 7 lbs 0.7 oz, and 18.5 inches long....she is 4 months old now :)

How are you liking being a mommy??? How are you recovering from the c-section???
