I am very down, because I am not losing weight like I would like!!! Maybe
I am trying to do too much at one time. Almost have quit smoking, and that is good.
Now I want the weight to go down. I will keep trying, and am not giving up!!!

And it is awesome you are almost done with smoking that is another great goal for you..
I know you can do this like I say all you have to do is believe the way I believe in you..

what I've decided to do ont his my 1000th time around to losing weight.. I'm on day 3.. On June 16, 2009 I will weigh myself for the first time since I started losing weight.. For me, the first month is always the hardest because I lose a lot of water weight at first, then gain some back.. it's a crappy roller coaster.. so I've decided to not weigh myself the first month and have it be a surprise.. :D maybe putting more space between weigh-ins will help you show your progress a little better than weekly or even daily weigh-ins.. :)

Any progress is good progress - and quiting smoking is great progress. I would not worry about speed but consistancity. That way you won't fall back the moment it is not something you are thinking about. For the record, I'm very slow at losing weight and keeping it down. For nearly 4 weeks now I go back and forth between 162 and 165, but I am gaining in how far I can go with my jog, or how long I can work out. The later is a much better positive than the former is a negative.

Besides... we all know the story of the tortoise and the hare... and it isn't the hare who wins in the end. :-)
(Not saying quick weight loss is bad, just that not everyone or body type can do that and be healthy.)

It can be very discouraging-I know. But keep going-keep weighing and measuring your food. Put everything into your tracker. Keep moving!
You can do this! That's a great accomplishment about your smoking!!!
You have the right attitude about not giving up. emoticon

Good on you for not giving up! One thing that I find helped me is every morning as I'm brushing my teeth thinking positive things about myself. Even if they were just things like "Your hair looks nice today" or "You coped will with dinner last night".

People may mock optimism in the present day, but the more positively you think the easier life gets! Best of luck to you! *hugs*

IT is very discouraging. I lose like 3lbs, and then gain it back plus 5 more!!!

I don't see myself in a swimsuit ever not with this body!!!LOL

Sunday, May 03, 2009

I don't see myself in a swimsuit ever!!! In Our town everyone knows everyone!!!
Their are people who would make some very rude, and hurtful remarks.
I don't need that nor do I want to!!! I never have learned to swim and, that I regret!!!
When I was younger and much thinner I used to do my housework in a bikni!!!
I always had a cover up handy if someone came to the door!!! At least it was much
cooler temperture wise!! So anyone who feels comforatable in a swimsuit go for it!!!
It is amazing how some things change when you get older, and wiser!!!
If I had a good body I would still wear one around the house!!!

I sure do hear what you are saying! Did you see Valerie Bertinelli looking FANTASTIC in a bikini at 48 years old??? OMG, three years younger than me. I would disgust people if I was to put on a bikini. No bathing suit looks good on me. It probably never will, but I can hope! I am doing the boot camp. 10 minutes of kickboxing and I like to died, but I feel good that I did it. I am doing it in hopes that I won't be completely disgusting looking in a one piece with a belly panel!!! Good luck to you...I completely know how you feel!
