Wedding band

Saturday, April 12, 2014

Last night I thought my fingers felt smaller, as in, no water emoticon retention. So I decided to try on my wedding band.

I was happy to find out IT DID FIT. emoticon

But I'm thinking with summer coming on, my fingers will emoticon swell. So I'd best not get my hopes up to much. Instead, keep working on my weight emoticonreduction. When I get another 20 pounds off, the summer emoticon swelling I get due to heat, should be no concern. My ring should fit no matter what.

I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

Diets are a source of suffering, but greater blessings await....

Monday, March 10, 2014

With every pound I lose, I feel SO much better. I can and want to move more, walk more and I can stand longer. I pray God will stay beside me with every step because I DON'T want to ever go back!!

The following quota from my email is SO TRUE!!...

1 Peter 3:14
But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled.

If the example of Jesus teaches us anything, it should be that suffering is a noble and good thing when it leads to a better way. Our diets are definitely the source of suffering, but there is great blessing awaiting all who stick with them. God has promised special blessing to those who keep courage in the face of suffering and don't give in. Losing weight not only makes us look and feel better, but it draws us closer to God and His divine plan for us. Our suffering is not in vain. It is all to the glory of the Lord.

Today's thought: I will fear nothing, as long as Jesus is with me!

Can't wait for weigh in day

Friday, February 14, 2014

Thank you God for standing beside me and helping me every step of the way.

I'm excited!!!

I have now removed 80 pounds of 'me'.

Now I'm waiting for Tuesday which is my weigh in day to make it official.

I can officially add my progress to my Profile section. And also the new 'Lost 80 Pounds' photo on the left side of my page.

Persistence is one of the most important ingredients of a successful diet. The Bible tells us often that God is pleased by our persistence, and He will reward us for it. God will deliver us, if we will keep trying no matter what happens. Just don't give up!

Still have more to take off, but I am confident that God will always be near, to hear my petitions of help, as well as my praises to Him.

Just don't give up!

2 Peter 2:9
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.

I remember when I proposed to my wife, I wanted to call home and let everyone know. I called, but the line was busy. I was so excited that I just sat and kept dialing until I broke through. I must have called a hundred times before my efforts paid off. I finally got through because of persistence. Persistence is one of the most important ingredients of a successful diet. The Bible tells us often that God is pleased by our persistence, and He will reward us for it. God will deliver us, if we will keep trying no matter what happens. Just don't give up!

Today's thought: No matter what happens, I will keep trying to lose weight!

Just 1

Sunday, January 19, 2014

At first I was upset this morning when I woke up. I weighed in and it showed I had gained 2 pounds. Then I realized that I had a dream last night that. Still it was hard to differentiate from my dream and real time, until I checked my notes from yesterdays weigh in. In the dream is where the number in my head came from. I had actually lost 1 pound today when I got on the scale.

Funny how the mind works. I guess I want to get to that -70 pound mark so bad, that I am now dreaming about it.

Yes, I am 1 pound away from a total of 70 pounds lost.

God is the one who deserves all the praise and glory. He has been with me every step of the way this time. I can not do this without Him.
