Here we go

Thursday, July 18, 2013

I am looking for a lot of support. I have been on and off of sparkpeople many times over several years. This is a wonderful place to come for support. Unfortunately, I have lost weight all of those times only to gain the weight back and a little more on top of that. It is evident to me that my weight is going to become a serious health issue for me if I continue to lose and gain, lose and gain, lose and gain. It is a battle that I can't seem to win and maintain. So here I am again.......I am starting fresh today. I will win this physical and emotional battle, and would appreciate any support that I can get.

The one thing that changed my life was changing my mindset. Sparking is not a temporary fix--it is a lifestyle. The actions we take everyday propel us closer to our goals, or not. It is all about healthy choices, baby steps and tracking, tracking, tracking. You can do this. Is it a lot of work? Yes!!! But you are worth it! Keep Sparking!

Friday, January 04, 2013

So far, I have done great with both eating and fitness. I am thrilled that it has not felt like a big struggle. I can't wait to see my results at the end of the week!!!

I do hope your scale and your body re ready to show off at the end of the week. When I first started, it took 3 weeks for me to lose 1 pound, but then I lost 7 very quickly.

And last night I got into the vanilla wafers and did some comfort munching. I was so emotional and that box has been moved out of my way about 20 times since Christmas, and I caved. Could not move it away from me one more time without opening the box. And then, well, I might as well have fallen in the box and ate my way out of it!

So be stronger than me while I pick myself out of the dirt and get back on the wagon!

Hugs,
Angela

New Year.........leads to a New Me!

Wednesday, January 02, 2013

I am starting this year with a bang!! Right off the bat, I am starting a new plan for balanced eating and living. I am also going to work on trying to focus on me and my health and not just that of my children. I am going to be a model for my children of how you have to care for yourself as well as those you love. I am excited to get started and not let my old bad habits continue to return and haunt me.

What a great motivation... first to set the example for taking care of yourself and showing your kids how to do that, and then to eating write and finding more energy from that. Congratulations and make the choice with every meal that healthy is the way to go, it's worth the expended energy and worth even more in teaching your children by example.

Thursday, April 05, 2012

I have been really happy with how my week has gone with food and calories. There have been a few temptations here and there, and I have not given in an inch. YAY!!! Now to keep it up until I reach my goal and then maintain, maintain, MAINTAIN!!
