My weekend started Friday going to a concert with a very old friend of mine, we had a blast and I had a shot of tequila and I counted it 60 calories. I really enjoyed savoring it and didn't just shoot it down, needless to say we danced a lot!! Then Saturday I took my mom to the Dr. and ran some errands for her. I then went with sister to a hip hop celebration, lots of music and dancing, I ate a green chile and bean burrito, (homemade by my sister friends Abuela) I counted that too, it was sure good ( I didn't have the homemade cupcakes that was oh so gently calling my name).
Finished the night by going to the movies, (this is where I got in a little trouble) movie theater popcorn, Oh the love affair we have her buttery, salty goodness makes me drool and gets me all gaga gaga with love! I ate it carefully and yes counted it. (I didn't eat the milky way that my sister bought me) In the end I had a super time and although I went over my calories I still feel successful. I also made some sassy water to detox my body today!!
I'm planning on going on a hike with a friend, but the Phoenix Rock n Roll marathon has me blocked in.
Did I mention a few people commented on how I look like I've lost weight, woo hoo!!!

I had an appt with my Dr. this morning for several reasons, for the first time ever I was excited to be weighed I usually dread this part of checking in! I'm not sure if I've lost anything in the last week, cause I didn't weigh myself last week, but I feel like I have. I have the best Dr. and she was so glad that I was serious about my health and getting healthy by losing the weight and exercising. She recommended that I watch a movie called "forks over knives" she said she had learned so much and what she thought was healthy and good for you, was not. Its on netflix if anyone is interested. I'm hoping to watch and although I'm not ready to go vegan I want to start including more veggie meals in my diet.
I also did a great hip hop cardio workout this evening for 30 minutes, lots of fun and got me warmed up, we haven't had these low temps in Phoenix in over 20 years, and needless to say I'm freezing!!! :O I also walked with my sis for at least 20 minutes outside in this cold weather!
