Trying once again to get back on track, here are so ways I'm going to do it.
1. Make veggie soup to help with my hunger.
2. log into SP everyday
3. work out for 15 minutes everyday
4. Track my food
5. Get support from family and friends

I can do this, I turn 50 this year on April 22nd and want to look and feel good!!!

Since I'm a crazy FB and a pintrest person, I want to start hanging out with SP as much as other social sites, at least this is a healthy one. So many motivational people here that have lost so much weight and exercise so religiously, I thought we should have a like button for them! Well off to work after two days off, made some miso soup for lunch and ate oatmeal for breakfast.

After being gone for nearly a year I'm gonna try this SP thing again. I've been trying to eat healthy and walking with my sister is what I do for excercise. I got sick a few weeks back, then my sister hurt her leg so its been a few weeks. Starting up this evening again, making some pinto beans in the slow cooker for dinner, ya off to a good start. Excited about hearing how everyones doing!

back after a long winter

I took a break for several months, tried coming back last month by writing a great blog that I completely lost some how in cyber space :(
I got a tummy bacteria and had to take lots and lots of meds and then I one of my Best Buds died, he was elderly but it was very hard losing him. I miss him everyday, its been hard on me.
My weight is out of control, but I've been get so much motivation from a wonderful coworker, she is much heavier then me but logs on to SP everyday, runs/exercises everyday and got her masters in education this last week while holding down a full time job and Mothering two teenagers!!!! wow she is incredible, so I thought why can't I do that?
she shared a diet with me today so my sister and I are going to give it a try, its nothing crazy just sensible nutrition. So wish me luck and all my friends have a wonderful weekend!!

Fruit smoothies

My son and I have been having fun trying to make diffrent fruit smoothies as a meal or as a snack when were hungry, its been good and we even bought some protein powder its been helping to curve our appetite. We usually put in some frozen fruit, yogurt, juice or milk with the powder. we've been trying with diffrent amounts of ingredients. Also we have discovered oraganic blue agave syrup, its supposed to be way better then sugar, sweetners, honey ect.... it metabolizes much better and helps your blood sugar not spike when you eat it.

I'm wondering if anyone has ideas or recipes on your smoothies?

    YUMMMMMM! Smoothies are my go-to breakfast and how I get my fruit servings in. THose are the basics---fruit, yogurt and protein (sometimes). I ocassionally add oats (just dry the same ones you cook for oatmeal), other times peanut butter. And cinnamon gives it a delicious kick!

    I've tried different things, but I don't care for the taste of whey protein, so I gave up on that idea for now. It sounds like you're doing great! What a nice thing to do and enjoy with your son! :)

    My recipe is pretty simple as I am not able to have many different citrus juices, etc. We have 1 cup of milk, 3/4 cup of Fat Free Greek Yogurt and 1 cup of frozen fruit with about a tsp of Agave Nectar. It's quite tasty for me. I found some other recipes when I searched, but I am unable to use them because of citrus juice or sugar substitutes. I hope you are able to find some good options for you and your son! Enjoy your smoothies! emoticon
