Good morning All!

Below are the stats for this morning's ride:

Distance - 6.36 mi
Duration - 42:21 hr/min/sec
Exe. Time in Heart Zone - 12:20 min/sec
Cal burned - 380 kCal
Pace - 6.6 min/mi
Speed - 9.1 mi/h

It was a humid morning but continued with cycling today. Went around the lake and rode for over 6 miles! I have about a month to prepare for my 15 mile ride and so far feeling that I'm on pace. Again I just want to finish the race that will be my biggest accomplishment of the summer.

Experienced leg cramps this morning - had to walk up a hill and felt them in both of my calves have to hydrate myself better and make sure I eat a banana everyday.

Well running late for work now lol, but wanted to share my info.

Have a great Tuesday!

Hello all!

Below are the stats for this morning's ride:

Distance - 4.21 mi
Duration - 32:49 hr/min/sec
Exe. Time in Heart Zone - 16:16 min/sec
Cal burned - 226 kCal
Pace - 7.6 min/mi
Speed - 7.89 mi/h

Rode to the park this morning & went around the lake once. It was my first time there on a weekday morning and I can't believe I didn't go sooner! There were people walking, jogging, running, riding but it wasn't crowded. Only thing was I almost got hit by a car who was about to run a red light.

Next time I will try to go around the lake twice, today was tough for me but I did it. I had to walk up a hill and almost didn't make it walking! I ate a protein bar before I went riding and had a protein shake when I returned. I was conscious about what I ate today and I'm happy to report that I lost an additional 1.9 lbs last week! Motivated to continue on the road to a healthy lifestyle.

Until tomorrow!

Below are the stats for today's morning's ride:

Distance - 5.57 mi
Duration - 1:17:11 hr/min/sec
Exe. Time in Heart Zone - 16:40 min/sec
Cal burned - 442 kCal
Pace - 13.22 min/mi
Speed - 4.54 mi/h

Today my BFF Carol & I met up and rode over to Flushing Meadows Park to watch the Dragon Boat Race. It was a perfect day to ride, not too hot, sunny and a nice breeze. We fueled up & packed up before leaving and had a great leisurely ride. We knew we were going to be out for a couple of hours we needed to have stamina not speed. So we took breaks as needed, stopped to take a couple of pictures and enjoyed the day and each others company.

I'm so proud of Carol today was her 1st official ride and I must say it was gutsy! Keep up the good work Carol! Whether it was motivation or your competitiveness it does not matter you did it!

I came home to pick up & clean, had my parents over and I'm taking care of my Nephew Justin (he's sleeping over tonight). Needless to say I'm exhausted and I'm not sure how much longer I can keep my eyes open. Think I'm gonna give my legs a break tomorrow but can't wait to ride on Monday!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend !

Had a great ride today! Working it out this week YAY! The weekend is here and I'm hyped about cycling with one of my bff's Carol. She was inspired to buy a bicycle yesterday and can't wait to go explore the neighborhood with her.

I really pushed myself this week and have a sense of accomplishment and lucky to have the support from my Girlfriend, Family & Friends! I have been selective on who knows that I started cycling until the day of my Ride.

Great week looking forward to having a great weekend!

Have a great Friday,
Rose

Morning All!

Feeling energized this morning! I felt the humidity the moment I stepped out of my apartment to walk Rusty. Heard the thunder and rushed home so that I could go riding before I lost my nerve emoticon .

Below are the stats for this morning's ride:

Distance - 3.93 mi
Duration - 27:07
Exe. Time in Heart Zone - 12:14 mins
Cal burned - 231 kCal
Pace - 6.87 min/min
Speed - 8.73 mi/h

Wasn't an easy ride forgot to put my knee brace on but my knee is doing well and the humidity challenged me a bit. It only drizzled while I rode, it felt great to feel the cool drops against my skin. My only concern was the breaks on my bike but I managed and every day I am more comfortable with my bicycle. Guess I worry because I'm still a novice rider.)

I challenged myself today and rode longer and stayed within my targeted heart rate 4 minutes longer than Tuesday!! I'm looking forward to my ride in Sept but I find myself looking for smaller rides that I can attend as well as some classes for beginners.

Went to the Dr for my blood results yesterday and it went better than I had anticipated. I have been slowly been working on making changes in my diet for some time now and I can see the improvement compared to last year. I try to make better choices, eliminated soda from my diet and limit the amount of fast food I eat (if any). The scale doesn't reflect this yet LOL, well not as much as I'd like it to but it's in the right direction. emoticon I am more encouraged to continue on my path of improving my health.

Gotta get ready for work before I am late.

Until tomorrow,
Rose
