Rough day

Wednesday, July 22, 2009

Even though yesterday I knew I needed to eat more, it still made today harder. The day after I eat above my calorie goal I seem to struggle. I know most of it is mental, so I have been trying to stay positive all day. This morning and afternoon were good because I was busy with class until 4. But then I got home and start craving food even though I was not hungry. That is why I am writing this now to "get it out of my system." The night tends to be the worst and I am almost at my calorie limit after dinner. I am going to try to stay busy. I have a ton of studying to do anyway, so that will help keep my mind off of eating. I am also going to have a bottle of water around to sip on an gum to chew so I can repress those cravings! I just have to get through tonight within my calorie goal and it will make tomorrow much easier!

You have a good plan of action in place. You CAN do this. Now, hit those books and then get a good nights sleep.

Back on Track!

Tuesday, July 21, 2009

After the wedding, this past week and into this week are going much better! I have met most of my goals for the past couple days which is really exciting! I am under 160 pounds, which has not occurred for a while which is even more exciting! Today I have not met my goals, but I was starving all day. I have been working out a lot and just felt like I didn't have enough fuel. I figured one day with a little extra calories might be better just to get refueled. I allowed myself to do it today, but I will get back on track tomorrow and hit my goals!

Now I am off to study! I feel like that will be the story of my life for a while, but I think it is going to be worth it!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

I think it is smart to grab a little extra healthy when it is true physical hunger! The calorie range they give us is an "estimate". the low end for days with no exercise and the high end for very physical days or so I believe.

We don't expend the same amount of calories every day and I love the fact you listened to your body and ate a little extra. Very smart move. This will help keep the metab moving right along too.

Too many eat too little and the metab slows down for protection.

And CONGRATS on hitting your goals and the hitting the 160 weigh in.

Day 2 - Back on track!

Sunday, July 19, 2009

Getting through the first and fourht days are always the toughest for me, and I am already half way through the tough part! Day one is complete and day is almost over and I am still on track! Breakfast and mid-morning snack were healthy, then lunch hit! Healthy, but turned out to be a lot of food, and I went over my planned calorie intake for lunch. I changed my dinner plans to make me stay on track and so far so good! I am done with dinner and before bed I will have a piece of fruit and some cottage cheese and I will be right on track!

Tomorrow is Day 3 of my staying on track plan! I will plan out my meals tonight and stick to them tomorrow!

Hope everyone has a great start to their week!

Since the wedding, I tried to get back on track, but things continued to go downhill. I worked out a lot, but also ate a lot. Last night I just got fed up and planned all my meals and snacks for the day!

My goal today is to meet my calorie amount and keep on track with my plan!

Excellent solution for staying on track. The old saying "fail to plan and you plan to fail" really does say it all. I too have a much better chance of success when I plan my day the night before.

Baby steps and mini goals all the way. :)

Be gentle and forgiving also. It really takes time to learn new healthy habits. The old bad habits go out kicking and screaming every step of the way.

When you slip, and we all do....start over on the SAME day with the next planned meal or snack. Don't let yourself "start over tomorrow".
