Now to work on calcium and protein

Wednesday, April 15, 2009

I have really been eating well lately, lots of fruit and vegetables. My big splurge was a piece of Mahi Mahi, minus any sides. LOL I am also finally back to my full workout schedule after being sick, then injured. My weight has been pretty stable, up and down the same two pounds...but I am hoping for better results next week. There are other ways to measure success besides the scale!

I am wearing t-shirts I bought before I got sick with the thyroid stuff and was never able to wear, because I gained weight fast. It is a lot of fun to be able to shop in my own closet/drawers! Now that I have cleaned the closets, I am working on the drawers. I am getting rid of a lot of shapeless clothing. I am all about the fitted stuff lately. Oh, and heels! I have a lot of high heeled casual shoes and I have been strutting around in them lately. At least I have something to feel good about!

Trying to increase my healhty oils

Tuesday, April 14, 2009

Well, eating them is easy! Making room for them in my puny points allowance is NOT! I went over my points today, because I ate almonds and brazil nuts as snacks. Well, I also ate some Fresh Market Green Bean Chips and Fruit Chip Snack Mix at my meeting, thinking it would be the bulk of my dinner.

I did not get enough calcium either, with just a half cup of goat milk for the day. I would have had a yogurt too, but I was already over my points. OK, I could have skipped the whole wheat bagel and eaten the yogurt, but my husband toasted it and left it for me, which was very sweet...so when I got home from Weight Watchers meeting I ate it! I did put the mac & cheese into the fridge without eating it...that has to count for something. ROFL

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Tuesday, April 07, 2009

Today I dropped off a huge load of clothes at the Bargain Boutique. I now have three or four dozen empty hangers. Then I decided to do a little thrift store shopping. I picked up two pair of size 10 jeans and a cute little dress (new with tags, but needed a little repair work) for about $10!

You go girl! That's such a great feeling. Don't buy to many 10s though. I have a feeling you'll be in 8s soon!

Rewarded myself

Sunday, April 05, 2009

Ironically, not with clothes, but with a beautiful new purse and wallet! I was down on the coast yesterday for the Gulf Coast Belly Dance Festival and we stopped by the outlet stores. My friend found a smoking deal at Wilson's Leather, then we finally made it to the Coach Factory Outlet...and we both found some real bargains. I liked a couple of beautiful bags on clearance, with an addition 50% off, so I decided to treat myself and refuse to feel guilty.

I suppose it is the least I can do to stimulate the economy!

Really a size 10

Friday, April 03, 2009

I went shopping today and tried on about a dozen pair of jeans, all size 10. I started out bigger than an 18 Womens and am now a 10, that is just amazing. If only I could get rid of my muffin top!

Ha! Love it Rissa! Size 10 is AWSOME!! I love Old NAVY JEANS. I did the same thing! I bought a size 8, and KNEW it was a type-o!! They fit a tad snug, but if I wear them lying around right after they get out of the dryer, I am good to go for that evening or next day! HA!HA! I HAD TO BUY THEM, just to look at that damn number!
Oh yeah, let me know if you figure out how to fix the muffin top thing. Mine isn't budging either!

I had managed to convince myself that it was a fluke that Old Navy 10s fit me. LOL I can squeeze into an 8, but my muffin top flows over the top! ;-)
