Dear Dawn,

Once upon a time...not so long ago, you saw your exterior in a way that left your interior broken! You worked hard to make everyone else happy, but set yourself, your wants and needs aside! Despite the huge task that stood before you, you made a choice, took that first step and continued taking another day after day! You may not be there yet, but you've come a long way!

Remember the times that to avoid temptations you'd hit the pillow early? Or when staying in your range was the hardest thing to do? Just look at you now, eating clean nearly all of the time! Exploring new foods and not just eating to stay in range, but planning meals to fuel your body! Passing on the love of cooking and sharing healthy meals full of colorful veggies to your family!

For years you had mounds of fitness gadgets, videos and equipment that taunted you almost daily, collecting dust but yet you added to the collection hoping to find the "right" thing! For days you researched the perfect stationary bike to purchase...hoping it would finally be the answer, but fearing an expensive coat rack purchase! You placed it in the livingroom, and a 30 minute session made you feel like you'd die! You kept at it, even on the days that your legs hurt too much to even move them, much less stand or walk! Who would have thought then, that someday you'd willingly challenge yourself to ride a marathon! Or that you'd once again become addicted to the rush of running that you felt in your late teens? Nevermind even the thought that you'd love the feeling of dripping sweat or the powerful satisfaction of pushing farther, longer, faster, stronger than before!

In a world of the sedentary and increasing obesity you are setting an example for your children and teaching them the meaning of being "healthy"...inside and out! While the days aren't always bright, I'm proud of your strength to look beyond the weak moments, ability turn them into a learning experience and continue searching for balance! Every day you continue absorbing information to learn, grow and share! You often see personal progress as perfection, but deep inside know that it's your desire to strive that really matters when the day is done!

Your determination has carried you a long way...give yourself credit for the road you've traveled, love the person that you've become and keep looking forward to all the things you have yet to discover! Keep Rise N Above the challenges and face the sun...because when you do the shadows of doubt always fall behind you!

Challenge will run FRIDAY - TUESDAY

Your challenge is to complete 5-100's of anything you want each day! All strength and planned fitness minutes count! You pick your pleasure every day, but you must complete at least 3 different things daily! In other words you can do 300 crunches for 3 of your 100's, but the other 2 100's must be 2 different exercises...if you only complete 3 100's they must all be different!

For every 100 you complete each day you'll earn a emoticon "whack" for your team! If you complete all 5-100's in one day you'll earn an emoticon "pillow buster" bonus!

Try to give yourself 2 of the 5 challenge days that you take a solid "swing" at calorie burn and complete 100 Fitness minutes! It's suggested that you plan Tuesday as one of those days to avoid too much strength training the day before WI! It's also suggested that you focus your ST 100's on core Tuesday as well!

Points are awarded as follows...
1 point for each emoticon"whack" you complete daily! (max daily points 5)
5 point emoticon "pillow buster" bonus if you complete ALL 5-100's for the day! (max daily bonus points 5 or 0)
Total of 10 points possilbe daily, including the bonus!

emoticonDon't get caught snoozing this weekend, your team needs your help! The winning team will be determined based on average number of points per team member, so participation and is key! Come out swinging and hit it hard this weekend Pixies, let's shed some fluff from last week and turn the lights out for the the other BLC teams again next week!
