Challenge 9...Diving In

Thursday, June 09, 2011

We're entering the last 4 weeks of the BLC...there are no floatation devices here, you either keep swimming or you slowly start to sink! So this week we are Diving In and making the best of the remaining weeks...Going back to basics and using things we KNOW to be the foundation of successful lifestyle changes!

There's no better place to put our training to the test than in the pool... an Olympic swimming pool that's 50m in length, 25m in width, has 8 race lanes, and 2 open lanes! We are going to make full use of all that it has to offer!

Challenge 8...Captains Triple Play!

Friday, June 03, 2011

This weekends challenge is going to play into the FUN, but keep our head in the game!

We'll call it Captains Triple Play emoticon since Captain Chaos issued a Bunker J "weekend with NO SUGAR" challenge and Captain Wendy issued a Forest "track BEFORE you eat it" challenge! Of course I have to add my challenge curve ball...Captain Dawn issues a "Stay in Range OR complete ADDITIONAL exercise to burn equivalent of excess calories consumed" challenge!

Group them all together and you're certain to hit a home run! If you're tracking BEFORE you eat and avoiding SUGAR there's no reason to not be in range! Now, if for some reason, you hit a nutrition range "foul ball"...by burning the equivalent of the excess you'll avoid striking out for the day!

Challenge Runs SATURDAY - TUESDAY! Points should be logged to the tracking thread no later than Midnight Wednesday your time zone! Week 8: Triple Play ~ # of points, # of home runs!

emoticonSingle - NO SUGAR daily 5 pts
emoticonDouble - Track BEFORE you eat it! 5 pts
emoticonTriple - Stay IN RANGE or complete ADDITIONAL exercise to burn equivalent of excess calories consumed! 5 pts
emoticonHit points for all the bases and you'll earn a "Home Run" 15 point bonus!

Aim for the Outfield this weekend Pixies and knock those pounds from last week and many more outta the park! Let's see how many "Runs Batted In" we can earn as a team this weekend! emoticonWednesday we'll post a scoreboard in the Forest for everyone to chalk their weekend Home Runs on!

The Opening Pitch has been thrown... emoticon....PLAY BALL!!!

"Oh"verturn...NOW!

Friday, May 27, 2011

This weekends challenge requires blogging an Overturn of a bad habit Friday - Monday! Perfect timing because mid-challenge always brings about a little frustration that leaves me trying to figure out how to do more! That's exactly what I plan to do...MORE!

Mental: Each time I find myself wandering off to the place of mental meltdown I'm gonna throw a few punches, knock out those thoughts and melt off a little more fat! emoticonHey...boxing is great cardio and you can make your visual competitor anything you wish! emoticon

Options: I've been on a strong streak of eating clean, but I'm noticing that variety and creativity is lacking lately! I need to come up with other things to incorporate into the days menu! New recipe/food exploration here I come!

Rest: By the time late day workouts are finished and food and exercise is planned for the following day it's far too late! I've not hit the pillow before midnight all week and my energy levels are suffering! Solution...Dreamland by 11:00!

Exercise: My personal 30 day Sizzlin' Summer Slimdown challenge is going well, but I've found myself putting workouts off until far to late in the day! That needs to change, so challenge within a challenge game on...workouts completed before noon this weekend!
I'll have to give myself a little slack today since it's not possible to get it all in before noon, but definitely before 10:00pm!

I'll be back later to update this blog with todays accomplishments and blog about each day following for the weekend!

Today didn't go as planned at all! Forgot about having to pick up DD's from school, DD1 started her first job today so I needed to drop and pick her up...which meant I was up past 11:00!
emoticon # of mental round minutes: 0 (searched out the recipe instead)
emoticon new recipe or food added: Brown sugar Rhubarb Chicken (revised)
emoticon time weary mind and body rests: 12:00
emoticon daily workouts completed: 10:00 (again) blah!

Tomorrow will be better! :D

Your thoughts are well organized. It is always fun to look for new recipes, visualization works wonders and the beauty rest, well not that you need the beauty as you already have it, but the rest, definitely!
