Day 30 and still going strong!

During the weeks leading up to Christmas I probably ate the equivalent of 2 whole cakes. While eating yet more cake on Christmas Day, my niece looked at me and asked, "are you going to workout tomorrow?" I really had not planned on it, but some how that question was the fuel that I needed to get started. So, I made myself get out of bed and get on the treadmill that very next morning and I have continued to do that every morning since December 26.

I had a sore throat when I woke up this morning. Normally I would have stayed in bed. However I did not want to break by 28 day streak of getting on the treadmill. So, I cut back on the speed a little and did my regular 40 minutes. I resisted the temptation to go back to bed. Now I don't feel sick anymore.

    Girl You do better than me..If I feel bad I just dont exercise.. This 2010..I have tried to change somewhat.. I am cooking Dinners at home now..Which normally I dont eat at home..
And I pulled my Obliques muscle a week ago last thursday..
Planning on going to the Gym tomorrow.. but I have work and daughters got girlscouts so I have to figure out how to work it in... Actually its my 1st day back after pulling my Obliques..(thats the muscle on your side) it controls alot.. Its better now..not so painful..
Good Job on keep on trucking while feeling bad!

    I did the exact same thing on Friday. I strongly debated skipping my workout on Friday because I wasn't feeling very well. But I went and was pleasantly surprised to find that I was able to complete my entire workout. But I felt really miserable for the rest of the day and made sure to get to bed early Friday night. Thankfully I felt much better yesterday and today. And I'm glad that I didn't skip that workout. My streak was a motivator for me too.

I am learning that I don't have to be in a hurry to lose weight. However, I do need to make good choices and be consistent everyday. The race isn't given to the swift, nor to the strong. But to those who endure to the end. I going to endure. emoticon

    I applaud your effort!!! I too need to look at little steps each day. If I track what I eat and eat wihtin my ranges, do and track exercise, and repeat, I will also get there! emoticon

A few ounces that is. I am on the treadmill every moring and again in the evening, workng up a sweat from 30 minutes to an hour. I estimate that I am burning a few hundred calories which will result a loss of a few ounces each day, and eventually a few pounds each month.

    You go girl! I'm looking at it the same way! When I don't feel like moving, I just tell myself, come on now, every little bit you do adds up!! I do the same thing when tempted to take a bite of something I know I shouldn't. How long will I have to work out to burn the calories that I put into my mouth? Then, Is it worth it? If the answer is yes(which it usually is not) then I go for it!!
