On the road to recovery, thanks to my Spark Family and their advice!!

Tuesday, March 20, 2012

Yea! I don't feel like the walking dead and I can see the light at the end of this tunnel (no, it's not an oncoming train, either!). Thanks especially to the suggestion for the Traditional MedicinalsBreathe Easy Tea, it worked great (still taking it!). Your support is greatly appreciated and you are all in my prayers daily.

Diagnosis: not too good!

Monday, March 19, 2012

Well, it's decided; I've got pneumonia and severe bronchitis. This after a great week? Oh well, guess it's time to get rest and quit trying to run three businesses all by myself? Diagnosis: too much stress and not enough living and loving life!

I hope your doctor gave you good advice, and that you follow it.

There is a tea that you can drink that will help with your lungs getting better the tea is called Traditional Medicinals Breathe Easy. That helps to open up my lungs when I get pneumonia or my lupus starts to make it hard to breathe since it likes to hit my lungs with fluid. If you are on high blood pressure pills then don't use it since it can make your blood pressure drop since it has organic licorice root in it.

Your last sentence says it all.....stress is not a good thing. Take care and get plenty of rest....and GET WELL soon.

Flu and cold season isn't past??

Sunday, March 18, 2012

I'm sick, sick, sick and not liking it at all! Do we feed a fever and starve a cold or starve a fever and feed a cold? Great, I've got both.

You need to eat and most of all drink plenty of water to keep hydrated

Trivia Nightmares

Wednesday, March 14, 2012

OK, does anyone else hate the trivia questions as much as me?? I swear, the next time I miss 5 to get 3 right will be the end of my trivial pursuits (funny, right?). Seriously, I can't believe some of the answers as I look them up afterwards and they're wrong, or conjecture that can be argued either way. Who's doing this? And what's worse is there are Spark members getting 100%,... really? Wow, humbling doesn't come close to saying it.

If you stay with it, eventually you know what their answer is, even if you have read of a different point of view. And maybe some of the answers are even correct when you think differently. A lot of that stuff is not really science, and they leave out some of the restrictions in some cases.

Want to know how people get 100%? There are a few things that'll help. One is that most of the trivia questions come from the quizzes, so if you take the quizzes (you can do them over and over again) you'll know the answer. By that of course I mean the "correct" answer, because I don't often agree with them either. I also use the search to find the answer, because there are some things (ie - which vitamins are water or fat soluble) that I know I can easily find and never remember. There's another way to get a better trivia score that's pretty much cheating... but it doesn't bother me to do it because of the issues with the answers. I don't try to answer questions that I'm not at least pretty sure that I know the answer. So, if I don't know the answer I go back to my my points page. 90% of the time, when I go back to the trivia questions I get a different question. I don't do this all the time, but if I know its one of those questions that I won't be able to look up and/or the "right" answer is not the one I'll find if I search... I will do it. I'm sure that there are some people who can get 100% without doing any of these things, but I'm not one of them.

I use the questions as my web search of the day points, sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't.

2012 Already??

Sunday, March 11, 2012

Obviously, I haven't blogged in awhile. It just seemed mundane to me, so I sropped for a time to get my mind right. I have been reading a lot though, so I'm keeping up with the Spark family. You all are so supportive and encouraging; what a nice thing. I read so much awful about people in general, then I come on this site and 99.9% of you are wonderful human beings (Too bad about the .1% who aren't!)

So, speaking of the .1 percenters, stop being mean to those you don't know!! I read a blog where some poor, young girl in UK is having all sorts of health issues, came to Spark for encouragement and support, and some morons berated her for "showing off" because she's thin??? She's ill you idiots!! Wow, the .1 percenters can make the rest of us really, really ashamed and mad.

I never liked when I heard some one say this and I can't believe I'm saying it, but: "You go girl!!"
