My first contest! Powerlifting!

My first powerlifting contest ever at age 57!

It was fun ! I did a 235 deadlift and a 225 squat. They didn't give the squat to me though because I tipped a bit at the bottom and my hips went above paralell. (DRAT!)

I benched too, but the pics wern't very good and it wasn't my best lift. I attempted 125, but let out all my air and didn't get it all the way back up.

What in this world will I do next? LOL

I've been training 5 months through all kinds of perils. Some workouts were in my backyard after work with mosquitoes gnawing on me. I remember once it was raining. Thankfully, most of the time I made it to the gym.

I know, I know it's been TOO long!!!!

I finally found access to a library computer that i can make it to once a week.
Whew!!

I've been really busy. My "girls" ages range from 22 to 55 right now. I have three with bad knees and one with baby, so my classes have to have some modifications added in. Challenging. Enjoy it though!

So busy!! So glad to have a day off, and it's busy too, of course. Got to do some grocery shopping, house maintenance, laundry, etc.

Will get back more often I hope Keep us in your prayers, AND the girls. Miss you guys here.

Hello!

I love teaching the girls exercise classes!

They are really sweet girls too, (for the most part). All have a troubled background and struggle. God is working.

I work at two sites.

Time is limited today, got to scoot.

I am moving to north of the county, on the border of the next county. I will be working in a women's rehab center.

I feel inadequate, ignorant. God will have to empower me for this leg of my journey, cuz I don't have it.

Internet may or may not be available to me. The nearest Y is 30 miles away.

December Thoughts -

I like orderliness. There's got to be a pattern, something to guide, sensibleness.

Irregular work days grind on me, but I take them as blessings. All things that touch my life has been sifted through the hands of my Father. Since all the other things I do have to fit in line with my work days, then all those things become irregular too. More grinding.

Perhaps my Father is knocking off some edges on me, making me more fit to be called His child. Although I can't see it, there is a pattern, like a tapestry being woven, . . . . maybe. That is sort of a man-made cliche, but true. Many times we can't see the "big picture". As much as I would like to know what are His plans for me, He has chosen not to reveal them but in bits and pieces like a puzzle.

As old as I am, I still do not have a "career". Oh yes, I am a wife, a PREACHER'S wife. Being a wife to this man has "shaped" me too. To live day by day with someone takes flexibility, dexterity, understanding, etc. . . . love.

A love that has to come from my Father because God hates divorce . . . and murder is a sin.

I hope you can see some of the humor in this narrative, something to make it interesting.

I seem to be more or less just rambling on, but there it is, my thoughts put into words.
