Today was a big day, new jeans in a smaller size. I think my high sodium intake is what is holding me back at these plateaus. That and I have been a little inconsistent with the cardio the last couple weeks. I did a good job on the cardio today, and I have a routine in mind which might hopefully get me where I am going. I also tried a yoga routine I found in this month's issue of women's health. I like yoga, I just need to work it into my routine regularly instead of every once in a while when I remember.

I stepped on the scale this morning, expecting to see the 203 number which has been hanging on forever, and hopeful to see maybe a 202 or a 201 number. What I got was astonishing. I had to do it again, just to prove to myself the scale really does say 200.0
I tried the running thing again last night (walk for 5 minutes, run for one minute, lather rinse repeat). But after 3 cycles of this my foot and ankle were really starting to bother me, so I backed off and walked a while longer. I have known I have foot problems already due to concrete floors, metal grating, and work boots at work, but now I wonder if I have good shoes for the running thing too. So for now I think I am going to stick to walking and try to improve my pace, and alternate with stationary cycling because that doesn't bother my foot issues. If this does not clear up on its own (I did get better work boots and supportive inserts for them), I will have to talk to my doctor. Boy won't that be fun.
Another big thing, 200 means I get to cross "new sports bras" off my list of reward items. Just in time too because I got a new sale catalog from Hanes.
I dropped 2 inches off my hip measurement, because my "lower" belly fat does not dip down into that region any more. Waist is still the same though, and its time to make a better core routine. I have already recently changed up my leg and arm routines, because they were getting easy, but my chest press is still hard as hell to get thru. Yay got a brand new total gym, now I just have to finish getting it out of the box and together. Maybe I will do that after the dog and I finish playing ball outside. Anyone in the market for a used but functional total gym?

So skipping strength training does not usually happen, because I like doing it. Cardio on the other hand, is BORING so any time I get a little busy I am tempted to skip. I decided I wanted to try running, just because I never could before. I also want the calorie burning power, and the leaner look. Today I got a manual treadmill, and gave it a shot. I did the basic 5 minute walk one minute running which I read in a spark article. I actually managed to do 4 minute long runs and end with a cool down walk. My knees were on fire but I did it, I DID IT. Now we will see how awful I feel tomorrow. I plan on adding the running in slowly, only a couple of my cardio days at first. The variety hopefully will help keep me engaged in cardio but I am guessing only some real results will keep me going. I have been stuck at 203ish for a while, partly because I have been very inconsistent lately.
For someone who hates fish I have been craving it a lot lately. I have been craving tuna a lot, so I got tuna steaks from the freezer section. Turned out a little too dry on my george foreman grill, but still good.
