Cardio Streak Day 354
20 minute run/walk
Today I've scheduled a run/walk but I have a meeting to attend a little later in the morning so I did a 'quick' 20 minute version.
The 20 minute effort produced 1.75 miles then I finished with a quick stretch (I may "pay" for this later), a shower, then away I went. We'll see how the legs are doing tomorrow.
Oh, and by the way, while I was out I did something I haven't done in MONTHS... I ate Mexican Food at lunch. Oh my, it's only mid-afternoon and I'm already nearing my calorie limit for the day.
There is good news, in a way. Back in "the old days" I would have had a high-calorie Mexican lunch and another for dinner, consuming two or three times the calories I should have eaten for the day. But that was 'then' and this is 'now.'
I will have a small dinner tonight, and I'll probably exceed my total calorie goal for the day, but not by more than mere percentage points. Once-in-a-while will not derail me... I've come too far and one minor indulgence will not cause a train wreck (promise!). However, it will be months before I see those guys again!!
