Cardio Streak Day 316
It's still pretty chilly and no hint of sun anywhere. It was in the 40s overnight, makes one wonder what happened to that 70 & 80 degree weather we've had the last few weeks. Interesting that it's warmer in Oklahoma today than here!
I've still got a cold. I'm sneezing a few times per hour and my nose is pretty much like a water faucet today (not quite the picture you were expecting, eh?). However, there is no sign of infection or fever so I have no plans to discontinue the workouts although it's probably okay to go a little lighter on the intensity just in case.
So on the intensity meter, yes, I did take it easier. 2.40 miles in 30 minutes matches yesterday's effort.
Add warm up and cool down, the total effort was:

Cardio Streak Day 315
It was in the 60s this morning and not expected to get colder until late afternoon. A check of the radar after 1100 showed the predicted storms heading our way so I decided it was 'now or never' and went for it.
As I went outside, I could feel a change in the temperature. Yikes, it's getting colder already!
I had been sneezing since I woke this morning and still have an unproductive cough, all the symptoms of a cold, but I wanted to go anyway. Once you develop a habit, you really don't want anything to stand in the way. I decided to go a little slower and not push my luck, though.

Cardio Streak Day 313
Today I'm feeling like I'm on the front edge of what might be a cold, upper respiratory infection, or the flu. If I'm lucky, perhaps my scratchy voice is due to all the wind at the golf course yesterday
along with having to yell to be heard over those stiff winds. Today is another windy one and as I was preparing to go out today, the weather service has the wind steady at 27mph, gusting to 39mph. Yuck!!
As I got going, the wind was brutal. Combine that with sore hamstrings and glutes along with the feeling of an impending illness (a rarity for me) and the day was mostly a psychological exercise. However, not too awfully far into the workout, I made the command decision to cut it short at about two miles.
At twenty five minutes, I had covered 2.10 miles and I'd had enough. Rather than push it any farther, the time and distance will qualify for day 313 of the cardio streak.
With the warm up and cool down, today was:

Cardio Streak Day 312
Cooler than the norm lately, but out I went in order to get to a waiting golf game. After the warm up, I did 4.10 miles in 50 minutes today. After a cool down and a quick shower, one of my sons came by to take me golfing with him.
He's been 4 or 5 time zones away, depending on daylight savings time and I haven't seen him in months. It was good to get out and play again, it seems I don't play enough any more but he gets to play enough for the both of us.
I'm not sure the website is calculating the golf outing correctly (1294 calories) but with the jogging and warm up/cool down, the first total was:
