5K Jog

I slept later than normal this morning but that was planned. After I woke, I had breakfast then did the Challenge video. I waited until about noon to go for the 5K jog.

It was warm today and the forecast calls for warm days all this week! I went jogging in a tee shirt and shorts today and it felt great out there.

It took 40 minutes to jog 3.28 miles today. I did walk up Cardiac Hill 1.0, though. Oh well, I am a little tired and we'll see how it goes tomorrow.

The full day, with warm up and cool down, was:
4.98 miles
70 minutes
502 calories burned

Cardio Streak Day 265

2 mile jog

I woke this morning about dawn, had breakfast, then did the challenge video. The legs feel okay except for the left calf. It feels like a muscle feels in the day or two after a major cramp, except that I haven't cramped at all.

At about noon, I decided to start the warm up walk and see how it felt and then decide if I would do the jog or not. I felt no pain and, amazingly, did not feel any tension in the calf while walking, so I decided to do the deed.

I completed the two miles quicker than normal, 24 minutes. I finished the twenty five minute time with 2.08 miles done, all jog - no stop.

With the walking warm up and cool down today, the total was:
2.78 miles
37 minutes
398 calories burned

    I've had cramps happen in my sleep. I can tell because of the way it feels in a certain spot the next couple days, even when I wasn't working out. When they happen as I'm waking up, I manage to work the cramp out with some massage, but when they happen without waking me, it leaves that little ache.

A Cold Windy Day with a short walk...

Cardio Streak Day 264
20 minute walk

Today is the day that my calves are suffering from DOMS and I really, really, did not feel like doing a 5K (or anything else). I did do two videos from the January Challenge after breakfast, though.

To keep the streak alive, I settled on a 20 minute walk with no attempts to speed.

Thus, today was:
1.10 miles
20 minutes
106 calories burned

Nice and warm for 2 miles today

Cardio Streak Day 263
2 mile jog

Today was about 60F when I woke early this morning. I had breakfast and did two videos of the January Challenge and it seems that my legs are a little tired. It's amazing how the video works different muscles than those used by walking and running, but it seems they do.

After a couple of hours, I went for today's jog, a two mile non-stop slow jog. Twenty five minutes later, I was done.

I would normally add the segmented half mile run today but because the legs were tired from the videos, I did a twenty five minute walk afterward instead of adding the run.

Today's total was:
3.40 miles
50 minutes
613 calories burned (includes the cardio video)

Leisure Walk Day

Cardio Streak Day 262
20 minute walk

Today is the off day that I reserve for a leisure 20 minute walk. I did the challenge video early this morning and the 20 minute walk in the early afternoon. It's good, my body needed the rest.
