I am finally sitting down to catch up on my day with Food/Fitness Trackers. It made me think about the Cardio/Strength training class I take at lunch time. Today was called 30 second challenge. We did the same ten exercises but each one of 30 seconds. At the end of the set we did it all over again. It may not sound very hard but by the time the 3rd set rolls around it is hard for me to do 30 seconds of push-ups, followed by 30 seconds of upright rows, followed by etc, etc, etc, Our class has only been gotten through six sets of the 10 different exercises. Our instuctor is only 24 and the class consists of men and women between the ages of 30 to 65. Even she gets winded when we do burpees. Well I recorded my 45 min in my fitness tracker and called it good.

Today started with a walk with the dogs then on to my cardio class. We do 25 min of Spin Bike and then 25 min on Elliptor or Treadmill. I always choose the elliptor because of knee and ankle issues. The time is well spent and the instructor is very good and very encouraging giving us different levels if the max level is too much. This class I just tried going forward on the elliptor because last week my knees hurt and I spent the entire 25 min pedaling backwards on the elliptor. It all worked out fine. Today's class was recorded in my Fitness tracker. I like the fact that I can record my food and my exercise each day.

Today I went to an exercise class that included strength training and cardio work. It was a hard class and I sweated alot. My workplace has a gym downstairs from my office. Exercise classes are offered at 6:30am, 11:30am, and 5:30pm. Why isn't this gym packed all the time? Oh well, I am grateful that it is there and that there are always hot showers and clean towels so after the exercise class I can clean up and walk upstairs to go back to work. What a nice break from the workday. Reminds me of recess when I was in grade school.

Wow, that's great, to have a gym near with your office! I have something similar though I need to drive 10-min to my pilate class. We do have a room with gym equipments but the place is more for people to sleep in massage chairs LOL

My Sunday started with a very long walk with the dogs. When I got home, they were tired and so was I but it was only the start of my day. Sunday includes church but today was special because I was able to go to lunch with some other folks after services. Since I have been recording all my food in my Food Tracker it was a good reminder to get the type of food that is easily tracked. I was not able to go to my yoga class today because I had to go back to the church to do some follow up work with the office manager but I have already added my Fitness Minutes to my Fitness Tracker for the day. It has been a good day and I am grateful now that it is now time to relax.

Today exercise included a 3 mile walk with the dogs and the 75 min Vinyasa Yoga class. Both were very sweaty because it was 82 degrees at 5:30am this morning while walking the dogs and the yoga classroom sets the AC between 82-85 degrees. If I am going to exercise, I like to sweat. Makes me feel like I am working very hard. I know that exercise if very important but reducing the calories will also have an impact on my overall health. I am grateful that I was told of Sparkpeople because now I can track my food and exercise daily as I move toward my goal of improved health.
