So thankful for a great night of sleep! Thank You, Father!
Leaving in about an hour to go cut down a Christmas tree! MUST remember my camera! Not sure if either of the grandkids remember going out with us, so today might be a major memory maker! especially with photos! weather.com says "Mostly sunny with temperatures steady near 20F. Winds SW at 10 to 15 mph." Nice and warm! lol We've been in blizzards, mud, etc., etc.... No snow on the ground (except a few places that don't get the sun). Looking forward to the smell of pine! :-)
Then babysitting! I have a large sheet of paper with the outline of the nativity on it that I bought last year for them to color and never used - so I want to take that with me...
Not sure what else we'll do today with grandchildren... take that as it goes! :-)
Lots of details to do in the meantime... I'm sure you really don't want to know, so I won't list them... :-)

Okay - I'll try this again... (if I get interrupted from writing/posting my entry, when I hit the button to post, it gives an error, and I lose everything I just wrote...) Had it all written Tuesday, but lost it... very disheartening!
So - here's a quick recap...
*short on sleep...
*went to daughter's OB appt... baby doing well, plans to induce - Feb 1st.
*my appt went well...total weight loss since last appt in May = 33 lb. Dr was really happy! gave him info about SP
*enjoyed planning session and games with college/career age class!
*awoke to a call from daughter... regular contractions (not too hard, though), 3-5 min apart.
*spent next 6 hours in hospital as daughter's birthing coach... only she didn't need a coach for these... dr took a swab looking for certain chemicals... came back negative, which meant that they were 99.2% sure she wasn't going into labor. Sure enough, she didn't (which is good - it would have been 8 weeks early!) she was exhausted yesterday, and still contracting and sore from being stressed and tense... I should have coached her to breathe more if I'd known... (she's dealing with a relationship mess that she originated last year...)
*while waiting at the hospital, I got some good work done on my Christmas cards!
* came home exhausted to grandchildren - but always a joy! and to last minute prep for Bible club
* at Bible club, my right hand young woman gave me good news that her college class that would have been on Wednesday nights next semester had been changed and she can continue with me! Thank You, Father!
*Bible club started rowdy, but the kids actively listened to and understood the Christmas story - most, if not all the children (PreK-2nd grade) had never heard the true origin of Christmas - if they had, they're too young to remember it.
* my granddaughter had carried my purse into the church, but no one could find it... so by the end of the night, I prayed with the children about it... after all the kids' coats were claimed at the end, my purse was at the bottom of the pile. Can't wait to tell the kids how God answered my prayer!
* took the kids back to mommy (30 min away) and then - while in town - stopped at Wal-mart for odds and ends groceries until main shopping trip on the 15th.
*walked over 5000 steps (my goal is 2000) and did quite well all day!
* went to bed sore and exhausted!
* slept in a little
* woke up with a lot of knee pain (dr gave me exercises to strengthen my knee - just got to have time to do them!)
* showered, spent some really good study time in the Word today - I Peter 1:6-8
* caught up on life with hubby
* took a 3 hour nap
* catching up on sp, then continuing work on the 200+ Christmas cards... :-)
* we'll leave at 3:45am to head to Madison (3 hr away) to be with a lady from our church while her hubby is in surgery...
* we'll head back in time to babysit grandkids by 3:30 pm until 8:30 pm.
*maybe a Christmas play practice
*go to a Christmas tree farm and cut my daughter's and our Christmas trees with grandchildren
*babysit again from 6 - 10:30 pm...
*and before we know it, it will be Sunday again.... sigh.... easy come, easy go!
(and I'm remembering to copy this before I ask to post... so I won't have to write it all again)
Have a great finish to the week!

from Wikipedia - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dick_Wilson
Dick Wilson was quoted as saying, "I've done thirty-eight pictures and nobody remembers any of them, but they all remember me selling toilet paper." Wilson made more than 504 commercials as Mr. Whipple, earning U.S. $300,000 annually and working only twelve days a year.
In an interview with ABC News on 22 April 1983, he mentioned that the first series of commercials for Charmin toilet paper he appeared in were filmed in, appropriately enough, Flushing, New York.
He described acting in commercials as "the hardest thing to do in the entire acting realm. You've got 24 seconds to introduce yourself, introduce the product, say something nice about it and get off gracefully."
In appreciation for his performance of the recognizable character, Procter & Gamble famously provided Wilson with a free lifetime supply of Charmin.

Time for bed... tired...
Hubby and I got some work around the house done today... felt good... it's past time to get some of this done. Hubby worked on cleaning windows inside and out! :-) It's been awhile! A friend's very OCD grandmother always told her that you can tell what kind of a housekeeper a woman is by looking at her windows... well- I've been in that terrible housekeeper category for a long time! lol I'm really thankful that hubby took time to do this today. I couldn't have done the outside without him.
I started to dust, but realized that we had brought some old children's books upstairs from the basement and they (plus the ones already up here) really needed a wiping down... and then organizing the grandkids' puzzles, coloring, etc shelves. Needed to get an apple crate for the books which was in the office closet- but the office is presently where stuff gets dumped - some of it belongs there, some doesn't, not much is organized yet - still in boxes. So - to reach the closet, I had some restacking, etc to do... you know - it's one of those days where you have to do this job before you can do another job, which you do because you needed something else done...
In the process, I emptied a storage bin for fall decorations/dishes and hubby helped taking the decorations all down and he got it all to fit in the bin...
End of story... the kids' area looks really nice...
I was supposed to get some really necessary correspondence done, but it will have to wait. I spent the rest of the evening getting ready for my doctor's appt tomorrow. Since I started SP in May, it will be the first time I've seen my primary care provider - instead of his PA, etc - he's really hard to get in to see - a 6-7 mo prior appt is usual - but he's REALLY good - not just medically, but has excellent bedside manners. So I'm excited to be able to show him that I'vemade major progress in losing weight... 30+ lbs. (I haven't weighed in for 3-4 weeks - but I know that it hasn't been a huge change this month.)
Anyway - I've printed out the SP letter for the dr... I've printed out my reports for weight, measurements, food tracking - calories/fat/etc..., and the monthly calendars which show my daily caloric intake and fitness (tho' I haven't always tracked them all). oh - and also printed out a full page SP ad if the dr so desires to post it in his office.
Got my 9 cups of water in again today - a little later than desired, but.. it's done!
Tomorrow, in addition to my dr appt, I'll go with my daughter to her OB appt... she has 9 weeks left before little Benjamin makes his appearance early February. Need to pick up a couple of things, and then come home to a meeting with 3 college/career age "kids" who are planning the youth activity this month and then probably stay for a game of Catan.
The rest of this week is busy, too...
Have a great week, friends...
