Recovery day

Thursday, May 27, 2010

I just wrote a long dissertation which disappeared. Frustrating.
Anyhow, this is a recovery day, and I did have a few more cramps but seem to be OK now. We went over to the Tampa IKEA today - left at 9:41 and got there at 10:38. That's slow for a 28 mile trip, but it's all through the city. We got across Tampa Road and Hillsboro to 22nd St, (just past I275) and then south on 22nd. We started back at 1:00 with everything Adrienne wanted except for an ironing board that hang on a door. Now I need to put a nightstand together for her, move a rectangular mirror to the new bathroom, and replace it with a big round mirror.

Sounds like you have a honey do list going there.

Recovery Day

Thursday, May 27, 2010

Today is a recovery day. I still had a few cramps, but by about 3 PM they were all gone. We went to IKEA in Tampa today. It was a 28 mile trip over that takes an hour to get there. We got there about 10:40 and left just after 1 PM. Spent $160, and got all but one of the things that Adrienne wanted. Now I have to put a nightstand together for her, move one rectangular mirror, and hang another round one. I'm not sure I'll get it all done today. We did stop at the Palm Harbor library on the way home, and she got the book on hold. I picked up three more novels to read.

Big day on the way over.

Wednesday, May 26, 2010

I had nothing to drink from 10PM yesterday to about 2PM today. Now I have a pain in the gut and feel a little better. We stopped for a small butterscotch sundae, and I had a bananna when we got home, and I'm doing nothing much until tomorrow. In other words, this is a mostly wasted day.

Run-up to the big day.

I am on a liquid diet - nothing but coffee (decaf) apple juice, and lemon jello. Tomorrow is the big day.

starting the count down

Today I start getting ready for a colonscopy. I usually have two or three polyps removed every three years, and I have to work hard to be clean enough to make sure none are left behind. There were a couple of pre-cancerous ones early in the picture (11 or 12 years ago).
