Starting Saturday morning, the BW had a severe allergic reaction to something. This was a big surprise to everyone, and she was swollen everywhere, rash, blister, etc. When she started wheezing we went to the emergency room (two urgent care visits didn't solve the problem. It was going to be an hour stay, no problem, but after an hour, they admitted her to the regular hospital Sunday morning, around 4 AM. Since then, the story has been that she is going home in half a day, every half day. She just called (just after 9PM) and has had another big relapse. She is breathing OK, but the rash and blister are back, and she probably isn't coming home tomorrow morning either.
She was determined that she was leaving this morning, and I had to work really hard to convince her to stay, but after another flare-up late this morning, she told me that she was glad she was still there about six this afternoon. Now we just traded a couple of calls, and she will call when she feels better. We're both glad she is still where she can get help quickly now.
Of course, there's no telling when she will get out. All the magic and science hasn't worked so far.
