12 Days of Christmas Challenge Accomplished

Tuesday, January 06, 2009

Wow, I'm glad that it is over, but I am glad that I was able to go to the end. What a great help in getting off to a good start for the new year. I was sick through the first part of the challenge and some days it was difficult to do the exercise, but I was able to do twice as much on the second day to make up for it. I am so proud of all the Sparkers who did the challenge with me and who stuck it out to the end. I hope that they feel as successful as I do, and ready to tackle the new year with hope and anticipation. Thanks everyone who joined in.

God bless, Kim

Finally losing regularly

Tuesday, January 15, 2008

Finally, I am losing regularly. I lost the weight that I gained at Christmas plus three more pounds. I weigh the least I have weighed right now for years. It feels so good to be in the low end of a weight range! Praise the Lord for helping me to stick with this, to have two great teams that are such an encouragement to me, and all of my friends who help me along the way. God bless you all. Kim

A new Beginning

Wednesday, January 02, 2008

Well, I didn't do a whole lot during the holidays except eat and veg. I did gain three pounds, but that is better than other years. I am ready to begin again and I have two great teams that have been such an encouragement and motivation for me. I have done really good today and am looking forward to a healthier lifestyle. (I am sick of sweets!!!)
God bless, Kim

    Hey Kim,

I gained 2 lbs myself so you are in good company. As someone on another team said to me "don't look back, just forward"! Let's make 2008 a year to remember!

Staying on track during the holidays

Sunday, November 25, 2007

This is a difficult time for me, the holidays. There are so many good things to eat. I don't want to have to relose the weight that I have already lost, so I am determined to stay motivated and on track for the next three weeks. I would love to lose 7 - 9 pounds in that time period, but will be happy with 4 or 5. Any loss will be an improvment over previous years. God bless you all as we begin the season of celebrating the birth of our Savior!

Kim, I'm in total agreement with you about staying on track during this time. This is an extremely hard time and I would also like to see how much I can lose by Christmas time. By the way, I love your challenge in the Camp Accountability thread!

Staying the course

Wednesday, November 14, 2007

Praise the Lord, I am still losing weight, not giving and taking the same four pounds. It's a little bit at a time, but it is progress.
I haven't been able to work out like I would like to because of moving into our new house, but all of the moving and unpacking has been good exercise for me. I also have learned about problems with me back, bulging discs and arthritis, so I am having to relearn how to do some things so that I don't cause pain in that area. God is blessing us so much.
