Starting the day off

Each morning I find it difficult to eat soon after I get up. Lately I have read information that it is good to eat within 20 minutes of waking. I think this makes sense because it gets you organs going.

So now I will try to get my breakfast prepared at night, then when I wake I can cook it and eat it soon after I wake up. I also will start drinking water with this morning routine, it is also good to get those organs up and going right along with me!

Heres to starting the day off rite.

I always seem to find myself punishing myself for going off of my diet. Then when I try to start over I find myself feeling like I am going to suffer somehow! I made it through day one and I didn't suffer at all!

I planned my meals out for one day, Prepared them, following my plan ate at regular intervals and stayed on track.

Now is day two. Last night I planned my menu- Today I'm doing the same. What got me back on track had to be planning and preparation!

It feels so good to eat and not feel deprived, I can do this. Heres to day three!!

pre-PARING meals

Today,I read a blog about "Is a healthy lifestyle worth it?". It went on to say,"of course it's worth it, because you are worth it!!".

Later on, the blog was going through my mind, I was preparing my salads for my lunch and dinner meals and I wanted to use a lot of veggies I had in the fridge. Usually, I only put cucumber, lettuce, and tomato because I think its to much time cutting everything.

I cut peppers, mushrooms and carrots for the salad, because I'M WORTH IT !!!
I tasted a piece of the carrot, it was so sweet! I thought to myself, it is worth the effort you put into yourself.

    Our salads ususally consist of bagged salad fixings and I like the salad more when it has other ingredients in it. We are worth extra effort, we care for our family.

"Please DON'T take my picture!!!"

My husband was showing my step-mom how to download pictures off of a disk her computer. She thought it was so neat. We sat and looked at the photos. There was one picture. I took one kook and asked is that me? I was so shocked.

Later, I told my my husband that I couldn't believe it, how bad it really is. What a wake-up call. Hopefully it WILL wake me up.

I go to the sp website daily, but I don't diet or exercise. Why I don't know. I often think that I'm afraid or scared that I won't be successful. I want too, but I don't or won't.

Tomorrow, I am going to try setting some small goals, writing them down, putting them in plain sight so I won't forget them. I need to start somewhere!.

    I, too, was in your place, and I'm still struggling, but I am working on it. I lost 45 pounds, then have had several surgeries, which put me back up about 10 because of not being able to exercise. As soon as my 12 weeks is up, I plan to climb back on that horse and have another go at it. Never give up. We all have been where you're at, and many of us have had setbacks, but because of the support and caring friends here on SP, we have been able to make a go of it. emoticon emoticonDeb emoticon

    You had your awakening, and now is the time to start making the changes to a healthier you. Everybody misses the mark sometimes, but it's only a failure if you don't get back up and try again. Not even starting is a bigger failure. When I started I didn't even tell anyone what I was trying to do. I slowly adjusted my diet, and added a little exercise here and there and I started feeling and seeing the results (it kept people off my case). Then you couldn't shut me up about the changes I saw. If I can do it, so can you. Just have faith in yourself and get off the couch! emoticon

    You may be scared that you might fail or won't be successful, but if you do nothing then you WILL fail. So many of us have fallen down but that is not failure if you also pick yourself up and keep going. You will have bad days, but how you handle those days and what you do with them is what tells the story. So allow yourself to use those setbacks as building blocks to grow stronger and to succeed! Are you worth it? You betcha!

    The term "just do it" comes to mind. I hope you do make some mini goals and go for it!! I am back on baby steps and have had to re-do my own goals so they are "do-able". Sometimes I make goals that are not sensible, so have to re-assess. Good luck on making a new plan and starting forward again!!

Love your attitude.. make small, realistic changes... like taking a 15 minute walk everyday/ drinking an extra glass of water/ 1 more piece of fruit, etc...

You're giving your body the best gift ever.. LOVE.!!

Consuming water

I was noticing that my face has been really clearing up. Than I was noticing how soft my face is. I thought is that from eating healthier? Then it dawned on me, it must be how much water I am drinking! I am a believer that when you drink water that you are healthier. I think it helps you burn more calories too.

I love it when I have to introduce myself to people who haven't seen me in a while...I look totally different.. even my face!! It used to be much rounder!!
