Smaller!

Wednesday, December 14, 2011

I bought another new dress today. It's smaller than the last new dress I bought, so I'm guessing all this hard work is paying off :) It's also (gasp!) very very RED. Kind of a departure for me, I'm more of a basic black kinda girl. I have a Chamber of Commerce holiday thing to go to tomorrow night, so I wanted something new. This is DEFINITELY new.

We ran one mile this morning, in the rain..blah. The next 3 days are going to be a little challenging, because I'll be runnning alone. Sweet partner guy is in Pittsburgh at his daughter's graduation. As challenging as running will be for me, it'll be even tougher for him. It's a lot hillier there than what he's use to running. I gave him one of his Christmas presents early. I'd gotten him a Road ID for when he runs...and it seemed silly to keep it til Christmas when he's running so far away from home. BTW, they're a GREAT company to order from,if you're interested in getting one. His is a wristband, and it turned out really nice. He LOVED the last line, where it says "Allergic to Kryptonite" LOL

One more day....

Monday, December 12, 2011

until I get a day off. It's been a busy, busy week. I'm really looking forward to not working for a day, and I want to do some more Christmas shopping, and find a dress to wear to an event I have Thursday night. It's nice to be able to look forward to buying clothes again.

Only ran a mile today, but it was a fun, funny mile...complete with my partner making lame jokes and trying to make running a full contact sport. Considering he's 6'4" and a personal trainer....he almost knocked me into the middle of next week. Fortunately, we were both laughing so hard it didn't matter. So tough to run and laugh at the same time. I think this running challenge we're doing is making us even goofier than we were.

Such a nice day!

Sunday, December 11, 2011

After our 3.37 mile run this morning, I went out to lunch with some of my favorite guys in the whole world, my husband and our 10 and 8 year old sons. My boys are SO much fun to go out to eat with. They have great manners, and are really interesting and funny to have a conversation with. We also played hangman on the back of the paper placemats and that was way more fun than it really should have been...LOL.

After lunch, I had to spend a few hours at a fundraiser vendor show, doing chair massage, which was a lot of fun too, and also made us some nice money, then after I got home and we had dinner, we decorated our Christmas tree. Just a nice day overall.

Day 17

Saturday, December 10, 2011

Ran 2 miles today...and it made 17 days running since Thanksgiving. Several of those days have only been one mile, but we're doing it! My weight hasn't gone down, thanks to business holiday functions, parties and PMS but it hasn't gone up either, so I'm pretty happy...LOL.

2 weeks running!

Wednesday, December 07, 2011

Today was day 14 of our running challenge and we ran one mile. This was after 45 minutes hooping and a little weight training, so I'm good with a mile. I think we have something like 25 days left, and I reeeeally don't want to risk injury, so I want to listen to my body and not push too hard.

Finally got to put up some Christmas decorations today, and got my youngest son some new shoes. How can a kid possibly be that tough on shoes? He's had them since September, and they had huge holes and the soles ripping off. Sheesh!
