Had a great time tonight at the Wayne County Lightfest run/walk. It's 5 miles of Christmas lights, and they do a night of runners and walkers(tonight) a night of cyclists(tomorrow) and then they open it up to cars. In my opinion, it's a lot more fun to go through on foot than in a car...lol. Last year we did it in the pouring rain and almost froze. Tonight's weather was PERFECT and we had a fantastic time. Got through much quicker too! Partner-dude ran, and I walked with a client/friend of ours. It's a great event and i'm glad we participated.

It's been a darn good day. First of all, I found out my older, not living at home children, and my granddaughter are definitely coming for Thanksgiving weekend. YAY! Even better, I found out my daughter and granddaughter are coming to stay with us for the week or so before Christmas. I LOVE having my daughter here, because she's a huge help, she loves spending time with her little brothers..and doing fun stuff with them...AND well...she's my kid and I love her to pieces. It's especially cool this year, because it's Kenzie's(my grandbaby)first Christmas and we get lots of time with her :) :) :)
THEN...I called my all time favorite client. He's the sweetest little 87 year old man, who I use to massage twice a week, at his home. He and his wife moved into a retirement community apartment this summer, and I havent seen him since. I've missed him SO much, I can't even begin to tell you. Guess what? When I called, just to check on them and see how they're doing, he asked me to come give him a massage! I get to see him and his adorable little wife this Wednesday! I just love them, and I'm SO grateful to be going to see them again :)
:) :) :) :) :) Thank you GOD!!!! :) :) :) :) :)

Had a good run with partner dude today, but about half an hour after the run, I started to feel nauseated. I thought my nutrition and hydration were good today, so I don't think that was the issue. Trying to figure out what the problem was. The only thing I can come up with is that our cool down wasn't long enough. That was a most unpleasant feeling. Fortunately, it was fairly shortlived.
Had a new client today. She was a freebie, but totally worth it. I was able to help her with some physical issues she's been dealing with, and she's in a position to share with others how happy she was with her massage. I'm guessing she was pretty happy, by the way she was raving...LOL.

And it's been a nice one. Had sushi, a glass of wine, and one awesome piece of dark chocolate for dinner, then took an awesome walk with one of the dogs. It was cold, but so clear, and the moon looked amazing. I loved smelling the smoke from neighbor's fireplaces too. Just spent half an hour or so snuggling with one of my favorite guys....my youngest son, Gus, and now I'm going to finish sparking and get some sleep. One client, and a long run with the partner guy tomorrow.
Happy Weekend, Sparkfriends!

I'm finally starting to accept that sooner, rather than later, I'm going to have to make a very hard decision about one of my dogs.
Biscuit has been with me for a really, really long time. I got her shortly after I got divorced from my first husband, which was 15 years ago. She was a couple years old when we found each other, so she's pretty old for a dog. She's been blind for a couple years, but she hasn't really let it stop her much. Twice, in the past, we thought it was going to be time to make the tough decision, but she rallied, amazingly. I don't see her rallying this time though. Yesterday we heard a yelp, and when Mike went to investigate, he found her unable to get up the 3 stairs from our laundry room to our kitchen. Her legs had given out. She's generally still okay walking, but she sleeps a lot more than she use to. She's just sort of....fading.
I spent a large portion of my day crying, because I know it's coming. I'm starting to make some arrangements I'd rather not have to make, but, I would rather do it than watch her suffer. She's been a really good dog, she deserves for me to be loving enough to do what needs to be done, when it needs to be done.
I'm going to miss my doggy :(
