Boulder's Balsamic Vinegar and Rosemary Potato Chips

Thursday, September 02, 2010

After work yesterday I stopped at Sprouts Market because on Wed. you can get last weeks sale prices and the new sale prices and I got some great bargains on produce.

I saw that these chips I've only eaten once but THOUGHT they were the best chips I'd ever tasted. Boulder Chips Balsamic Vinegar and Rosemary. I read the label and thought I'll just count them and only eat a serving which is 14 chips I think.

Unfortunately I opened them in the car instead of eating my 1 oz. (23) almonds I had already counted out and keep in my purse for emergencies. I ate 3 oz. of those chips. 3 servings. I finally stopped myself. But I was good for dinner. Steamed broccoli, cod with lemon and dill, and cantaloupe. I didn't have time to make brown rice with it but tonight I will.

I have to realize I am not the kind of person who can buy chips. Seriously, I have virtually no control. Although the last time I bought those chips, months and months ago, I ate the whole bag. This time I stopped at 3 oz. at least.

Store Reflection

Wednesday, September 01, 2010

One of my first blogs, maybe even my first, was back in April 2009 entitled:
"Store Reflection: Who is That Fat Lady?"

I was miserable when I first realized that fat lady was me.
Now, I actually try to find myself in the store window. I have a long way to go but I look a great deal better.

Of course, when I do find myself in the store window reflection I have to stick in my stomach. I need to remember to do that all the time.

It has great suggestions for healthier eating. We all need this.

Once I Start Exercising I'm Fine

Tuesday, August 31, 2010

Yesterday I arrived home and sat on the sofa reading Time Magazine. I felt tired and was planning to do only a 5 min. warm up, 15 min. cardio, and then cool down and stretch.

If I wasn't on this Exercise Streak I wouldn't have exercised at all but now I am on a mission!

I started exercising and eventually did 40 min. of cardio. A total of 50 min. I was proud of myself.

Sometimes once you start exercising it's easy to keep going. It's the getting started that is the hard part. For me, at least.

Day 20 of an Exercise Streak

Monday, August 30, 2010

Tomorrow will be day 20 on an exercise streak for me. I haven't had time to track it on SP but I track all of my exercise in a journal.

I challenge anyone who reads this to join me on an exercise streak. Start your own streak today!
