LOL! OK, I'll admit it, I'm a country fan and even I got tired of that song after awhile. Although I wouldn't say it's my least favorite any more. I didn't have to listen to it that much. My least favorite would have to be "We wish you a merry Christmas" quacked by Donald Duck. Yep, I worked retail in a store the year the singing Mickey Christmas Carol decorations were out. Talk about torture. LOL!

Thats gotta be my least fav. song too. My dad used to play it over and over and over on Sat. nights when I was a kid, So when I was like 13 I took the CD and hid it so I never would have to listen to it again. I found it in some of my things last November and wrapped it up and gave it back to him for Christmas. emoticon

HAHA!!! I really thought about this one too. I worked at a family diner when I was 16 and we constantly played country music. As much as I hate this song...I have great memories when I hear it.

LOL That just seems like FUN !!! There are just so MANY SONGS !!! I LOVE music !! I've played the clarinet since I was 10 and recently taken up the elect guitar ,,,which my grandkids both play. LOL they LOVE it that Grandma is now trying to play,,,,they have dubbed me as "Worlds MOST Partying Grandma" LOL huh? All of their friends agree, we meet on the weekends to jam.

I LOVED reading about the Achy Breaky Heart story. LOL IF ONLY Billy Crystal knew ! LOLOL Huh? So which song makes you feel angry? I know which one makes ME angry, but it's a song from WAY WAY back,,,and NO DOUBT you haven't heard it,,,, it's called "The *itch is Back" and I had the WORSE upbringing and I used to dedicate it to my stepmonter who used to be very cruel. (though he was a man,,,,,,,,,it didn't matter, I was a teen, and the other words FIT HIM WELL !)

Ok I am going to try and keep up with this Challenge because I love music and I couldn't let this one slide by. Inspired by JENERINO1!

Day 01 - your favorite song

This is a hard one to decide because it is really based on how I am feeling that day and what kind of mood I'm in, but I guess my all time favorite would be..........

"All Around Me" by Flyleaf

Click to watch the video on Youtube
www.youtube.com/watch?v=xN0FFK8JSYE

I absolutely love this song!! I know it's Flyleaf and it can be kind of a darker band but it always brightens my mood and makes me sing along. It's also a kind of romantic song and I am a hopeless romantic.

Being Happy With Myself!

Thursday, May 12, 2011

I had made walking, exercise, and eating right such a habit last summer and let myself slide right back out of it. I really was disappointed with myself. I did manage to not to gain back too much of the 45 lbs I lost. I gained about 8 lbs, but that is 8 lbs I will loose again and 32 more lbs on top of that I want to loose this summer!!

Well we are going on two weeks now and I have walked 3 miles and done my ST everyday with out one skip! I am so proud of myself! I have struggled a little with eating but with Mother's Day, Birthdays, and my Graduation it has been hard to eat right.

But Yay for me!! I am making it a habit again!!!

Congrats on getting back into the exercise habit. It is at least as important as food in the equation of good health. WooHoo!

Ha! I am so glad I finally got to read your blog Frostynal.
I was feeling exactly like you after Easter & Mothers Day and visiting family interstate.
The best thing about you gaining is that you now know what it takes to get to where you aim to be, health & fitness wise.
As long as we refuse to beat ourselves up about a little gain and as long as we stick to our healthy eating and movement plans we can only gain more knowledge and energy!
I know you have that kind of committment, sparkly woman you!

I hear you on the eating part. It was mothers day, then a friends b-day...lots of alcohol and BBQ'd food, but i didn't eat any cake! YAY. LOL, now we are rolling into my kids graduations (of course not from high school, but we celebrate each year they pass and if it's with honor roll it's even better. One of my daughters has been honor roll all year long this year. She's such a smarty pants. LOL!) and then fathers day....so yeah, the way i look at it is if i can guess calories (try to stay in range) and use the ball method for portions (golf, tennis, baseball & grapefruit....how the heck does grapefruit go with that catagory i don't know. LOL) and if i stay away from the sweets then I'm doing better than I originally gave myself credit for. Find comfort in the small things. Right?

I too have 40 + pounds to loose. That'll put me at 118, my goal weight. lol. I'm a shorty only 5'2"...I always wished i was taller, always thought taller girls carry curves so much better.....unfortunatly i was given an hourglass shape in a 5 foot body. LMAO! Oh well.

Seriously though, together we can do this. I just finished the Spring into shape bootcamp. It kicks your butt huh? LOL. Hang in there it's worth it. i think thats why i dropped almost 5 lbs in my first 30 days. I used to think I was lucky to loose like 2 lbs. a month, but 5 was wonderful! LOL.

Great work! We all slip up now and then, but you have the right attitude! Just need to pick yourself back up, shake it off, and get back on track.

When events sneak up, like birthdays and parties, what I do is make a plan of attack! Like for this past easter my family went out to a nice brunch that had everything you could imagine to eat- including a chocolate fountain!

My plan was: get a omelette(egg white only if available) with lots of veggies, plenty of fruit, and grapefruit juice to drink. Having my plan set allowed me to stick with it. I walked right by the dessert table a couple times, but I just reminded myself that those were not part of my plan and so I didn't eat them.

What might also help is packing snacks in your purse for those urging moments like when you see a birthday cake. If you pack like a fiber one bar or a snack you like with you, then when you see something tempting- if you are hungry physically then you can grab the snack instead so you're not so tempted. Hope this helps!

I did the SAME thing last spring/summer. Only it was either 8 to 11 lbs,,,I never wanted to figure it out,,,was to depressing ! BUT YEAH for YOU for getting back onto SP and getting back on BOARD to get this straightened out again. Remember this is a LIFESTYLE change and in REAL LIFE events WILL happen and we WILL have those days where we WILL over eat and it's really OK ! We just get back on board either later that day or the next day. That's the difference between SP and a "diet" Boooo on a DIET !!!! SP deals with a REAL LIFE !!!

Hey CONGRATS for being on the WINNING TEAM as of Thurs,,, we NEED to KEEP WORKING at it ! !! TY for HELPING with this ! You are CLEARLY ONE of the TEAM PLAYERS as are MANY OTHERS ! I probably won't get to everyone's page, so if your reading this PLEASE KNOW I APPRECIATE your HARD WORK ALSO !!!! GOOOOOO SPIRITED UNDER DOGS !! WOOOF !
