As more people turn to vegetarianism, overweight vegetarians begin to rise in population. That’s because most people believe that going on a vegetarian diet will help them lose weight (even until today); so long as they stop eating meat, they can eat whatever they like and they’ll not gain weight. Myth!

Although meat does contribute to fat gain to certain degree due to its toxic load, if you continue eating high-calorie food without expending your excess calories, the excess calories will convert into fat, even if you’re on a vegetarian diet. Fact.

Going back to eating meat will make your condition even worse. So, sticking to your vegetarian lifestyle minus the unhealthy portions and pick up more healthy habits will do the trick. Here’s how.

Vegetarian Lose Weight Tip #1 – Eat Whole Food

After so many years of scoffing junk food, it’s difficult for your taste buds to suddenly adapt to the taste and texture of whole natural food. Given ample time and breathing space, your taste buds will transform and become more able to accept whole food. Too abrupt a change may nauseate and affect you psychologically, which then result in you feeling disgusted at the thought of munching on whole food.

That’s why I suggest that you pick up whole food progressively and eat more as you move along. For example, start with sticking to 1 (or half if you’re more comfortable with) portion of fruits and veggies daily for a week, then raise the portion to 1.5 or 2 in the following week, and so forth until whole food becomes the staple of your diet. Grains, nuts and seeds and other whole foods are as important.

Vegetarian Lose Weight Tip #2 – Get Active

I’m all for whatever ways you use to stay active and burn as much calorie as you deem fit. However, listen to and work with your body. Do not over-exert your body or you can easily sustain injuries causing you to not able to work out for weeks or even months, which in turn can lead to overeating if you’re not cautious with your diet.

I suggest that you start with some simple exercises to help your body condition for higher intensity exercises in the future. Again, progressively increase the intensity level and duration. You can strive to go slightly beyond your comfortable level at every workout set, but do not stretch too far. Again, work with your body.

Vegetarian Lose Weight Tip #3 – Plan Ahead

It seems sure-fire to lose weight with the above two tactics. Of course, you will. But you’ll lose even more weight efficiently if you have a good plan in hand.

It’s relatively easier to plan ahead your exercise routine for a month or two, but planning out your meals may seem a little overwhelming. In that case, instead of planning ahead a month worth of meals, make a food plan for 3 days only, each time. Not only will this help make it less intimidating, it’ll also help you stay on track, keep your calorie intake in check and avoid eating anything in sight, especially junk food.

Vegetarians can’t lose weight? Unless you stick to the above principles.

1. TRACK food always- never get cocky
2. MAKE group favourites - it makes logging go faster
3. REMEMBER the rules when eating out- I take my food to work occassions- I need to know what I am putting away into the pie hole of calories..
4. MOVE more- I got a more active job.. Dumb the car bike or walk and if you have problems with food - don't get a job working with it..
5. CONSISTANCY - don't confuse people with on off on off again- the surround yourself with support people loss faith..
6. THE HIGH SEASONS are coming up have a plan well in advance. Alot of people act like this fact never happens and it gets old hearing the same excuses - tell people to make healthy choices instead of the same old same old - I will make people feel guilty when there is a high rate of dead to lifestyle illnesses around them.. Some older women go around in their own little world thinking nothing of their families health.. Dare to confront them- this is a issue affecting all our communities and cities..
7. PHOTO'S take many of them and look at them before each party- weigh up why you want to over eat- remember how far you have come and how destructive it is falling off the wagon.. If up in age the skin will not keep forgiving you - this tip is to save you from plastic surgery that hurts..
8.LIFE IS CHOICES - no one puts a gun to the head - if people get offended I won't eat their problem not mine.. My kids appreciate having me around as yet.. It has been hard on them lossing a dad to diabetes type 1.. If you have type 2 - if you don't get your act together it can go type 1.. Alot of people forget this fact - even people with long educations get rude shocks from their doctors daily where I work..

I have been doing this 9 years soon.. The surround yourself with support people can forget where you have been at.. So it is vital you never get cocky and quite eating mindful ever.. It is disheartening reading about people lossing heaps of kgs and having to do it all over again.. Moderation is hard but it is a darn sight easier than starting completely from the begining...

Increasing my muscle mass and bone mass has a myriad of health benefits..

Here is a few things you should know before poo pooing gain rom a few kgs of extra muscle mass..

The more muscle and bone mass I have, the greater health benefits..

I have greater endurance potiential - I can do more with my body without feeling the effort..
My immune system is stronger- I have had tumours but my body won't allow them to turn cancer.. I feel pain when they start to grow because they require space and my muscle mass complained.. I also have been exposed to swineflu last winter without contracting it or suffering like the women whom told me efterwards....

People whom body build also defy aging- they can be much older than their appearance gives out.. They have the get up and go like young people..

A great kicker I read about, the more muscle you have, the more insulin receptors sites you have, and the more sensitive they will be.. Increased muscle mass prevents diabetes and metabolic syndrome.. Translation: the more muscle I have, the easier it is to have low body fat..

The more muscle I have the more calories I burn at rest.. It is estimated that for every lb of muscle we gain we can burn an extra 50 calories a day.

The more muscle you have the more strength you have.. This is true watching the tiny figure competitors at my gym..

Lonnie is a Bodyfitness competitor- in 163 cm class..

in clothing she is just another cute "32" year old women on the street..
she can deadlift 100kgs
the class of competition she is in they are not allowed to be full out bulky.. She is tiny to other competitors she has been up against..
she can do pull ups just as good as any man at our gym..

Her boyfriend is a policeman- he is 6 foot tall.. She is tiny compared to him.. Is she bulky? Nope alot of women don't know what they say no to..

I think she is well proportioned as women go.. And looks better then the average 20 year old in a bikini..

She has a degree in nutrition and a certificate to work as a freelance personal trainer.. She also is vegetarian..

She has a male training partner whom has been there for her. Her boyfriend has a busy schedule he also trains somewhere else to get his workouts in too.. One or the other is there to assist Lonnie..

She is tiny with strength, I am huge compared to her but she can lift by far more than me! She is also double jointed which has hurt her in the past, strength training has avoided her over rotating her joints..

I think it is tough obtaining muscle mass it is plain hard work lifting heavy with my 46 year old ass ..

I don't like to talk when doing my thing, many people think I am anti-social but work first chat later.. I only train my legs once a week.. My thigh muscles grow like crazy so, once a week in the middle of the week and leave it at that.. My thighs were 87 cms they are down to 59 cms.. My calfs are still 40-42 cms..

Deadlifts are something I had to work up to.. My back has injuries but when doing them correctly my ass feels them never my back..


BMI is a load of horse crap.. If I try to go lower guess what happens to me..
thats my tricep skin hanging like hell..
my face sking hangs more obviouslyand gets dry..
closer up, what happens if I eat leaner than I do now..
I have to eat and train to fit my skin to avoid more plastic surgery..

Why don't you move in with Martin? He lives in a closet like appartment mom.. Why can't he help you find a appartment now.. He owes the bank the money from this appartment..

Son you live at home free, I am pay for your food and telephone.. Let's see, Martin will take ages to pay off his debit- why not make a savings account to a apartment while waiting for Martin to pay off his debit.. Larger appartment more bills fact of life son..

It ain't because I don't trust Martin but if anything happens your left hanging with every thing.. Have the deposit in your hand and when you move it is just the rent.. I know you dislike Mogens like the pest- but you will have more money between your hands if you wait..

No son I don't dislike your friend but crap does happen.. It's all about moving without a huge bank loan.. I understand you want to live alone.. When you move all the luxuries I have given disappear.. Disappear? Yeah did you really thing I would keep paying for your telephone and food? Look into my eye son, freedom comes with a price so think really careful before you do anything rash..

Dear Blog,

Now the boyfriend thinks my internet is too expensive.. I asked out of curiousity what did he give for his USB model.. 200 kroner om month..

Wait a moment buddy?! I give 1200 every 3 months.. And we are four people up to 8 sometimes using computer here at home.. Can your model at 200 kroner do this service? NOPE!

My sons and I used to share one of these, the internet company found out we were heavy users and screwed down the bandwave because we were getting more service than the money we paid..

Before you shot mouth off boyfriend do some flipping home work.. You also enjoy surfering in the bedroom.. With wireless internet.. If I change back don't expect me to pay for you too.. Each USB plug comes with it's own bill..

Whether you like it or not the solution I have covers my kids and so it has the power to tell me to ask the kids to lay off heavy down loads- when I just want to surf sparks no matter how many computers are gaming the net.. I purchased extra strength so my kids don't drive me nutty too..

When I can't surf I just have to turn around and ask whom is using torrent?
