Yup, it's me!

Tuesday, June 07, 2011

Just posted my first ever real picture of myself on Spark. From last June before I found Spark. Not exactly sure what my weight was then. I know in August I was at 227. That's probably close to where I was when the photo was taken. This is my "BEFORE" photo. I'm not ready to post an "AFTER" photo yet.

It can be very hard to post pictures of yourself, but I really do think it helps to make you (all of us) more accountable. Photo's don't lie. Wait until you are ready to post an "after" pic, baby steps. emoticon

In case you are wondering... we are okay

Thursday, June 02, 2011

The tornadoes that hit yesterday were pretty scary. There was a funnel cloud spotted near where I was and my workplace took the warnings very seriously. Everyone was ordered into the basement- employees, patrons, contractors, students, etc... and we were not allowed to leave until it was safe again. However when we emerged we were fine. Friends and coworkers are reporting damage near their homes etc. One lady had a 3 1/2 hour drive to get home yesterday because she had to get past where the storm hit. She is fine though.

I am still hoping to hear from more of my Spark friends and others, but I am fine and my family is fine too.

Another nutrition tracker issue

Monday, May 30, 2011

I noticed today that my calories didn't match from my tracker to my daily feedback. Seemed like my daily feedback wasn't picking up on all my calories. Might have left out my snack or something.

I've also had trouble putting stuff in. If I have "favorites" and I click on some to track my breakfast and then hit the "Add" button and then try to add some more after that for lunch or dinner for example it doesn't add them. I have to exit the tracker and go back in OR else check everything off and then do it all at once. This is rather annoying. Today I tried to filter my favorites and add a few things at a time and it didn't work at all. A total mess! I really like what Spark is TRYING to do. I just wish it all worked. Seems like right now it doesn't.

if you have issues with the new favorites you can actually just click the "add a food" button right next to the new search bar and it brings up the old version of the search and favorites, I haven't had any problems with using those.

I am still having trouble with the thing. I put my dinner in 3 times from yesterday and it didn't take it. Today I tried to put my lunch in and it's not showing up. Very annoying!

I noticed that the "daily report" isn't accurate unless I run the "feedback" first.

Try reloading the page - the foods do get added, but don't always show for some reason.

It does work a lot faster though - I guess there are still some bugs.

strange nutition tracker problem

Friday, May 27, 2011

It is so strange. Somehow randomly Activia yogurt keeps getting added to my nutrition tracker in the "Snack" area. I don't ever eat Activia. I don't have it in my favorites or anything. I don't know how it is getting there. Every day I have to go in and delete it. Has this happened to anyone else?

The problem has been going on for a while now, probably since they started new tracker on the system.

Um....weird. That has never happened to me. After reading the other comments I'm guessing it has to do with accidentally clicking on an ad. Sort of creepy.

I like having 220 calories left at the end of the day - I don't like that the Activia is 220 calories emoticon

I had the same issue. I admit that I clicked the ad hoping for a coupon and it was put into my tracker. eeerr... at least I know that at the end of the day I still have 220 calories left after I delete it. emoticon

I noticed an ad for activia yogurt that showed up. I was trying to click on some other item in that same area and the activia showed up in my snack area. I believe it put it there for two weeks. I think that the activia ad wasn't coded correctly because it should have only done that if you clicked on the ad itself which I hadn't. I haven't seen the advertisement for the activia since.

I bought a "Large" and it fits!

Tuesday, May 24, 2011

We went to the outlets on Sunday afternoon. I had HOPED to find some pants but I did not find anything I liked. I am a little skeptical about my new bra size. My old bra was a 40DDD, and the lady at the Hanes store said I am now a 42DD. Does that sound right to you? After losing 30 pounds why would I be a 42? I bought one bra but I haven't tried it on yet.

At the Gap store I saw some t-shirts that I liked. I decided to take my chances and I bought 3 t-shirts all size LARGE. I didn't get XL like I usually do. I am wearing one today and it fits!

That is so fantastic it helps you realize that thigs dom "fall into place" Enjoy the moment.. The bra situation is similar to me..i lost 50lbs.went from a 42d to a 40c i think some of it is bone structure and sizing in general

With the bra sizing, I'm having a similar issue. For me it came down to two things. NEW bras and a different style. My old bras were so worn out they just weren't an accurate measuring stick anymore. And just a slight change in style (my old bras were so old I couldn't find that style anymore!) meant a whole new sizing.
