Well, *deep sigh* I made it back to Saudi, plane was actually 30 minutes ahead of schedule :( Stepped off the plane to a blast furnace. Wasn't even to the bottom of the stairs and I was sweating.(no jetways here) Both suitcases showed up, got through immigration & customs no problems. Didn't sleep much on the 11 hour flight due to a constantly screaming child in the row in front of me. Mama just kept spanking it and the baby too. Don't know what was wrong, they didn't speak English.
I still feel like a zombie despite sleeping 4 hours Friday afternoon, then taking a tylenol PM at 10PM and sleeping until 7AM. At least my blood sugar level was down this morning, LOL.
I still ache all over and apparently I am allergic to my kitties because I've sneezed and blown my nose all day today.
They had to check out my suitcases and found the goodies I brought back for them.
I opened the front door this morning at 8AM to see if I could walk but forget it, the humidity was miserable. It will probably be another month before it gets decent enough to walk in the mornings.
Got one suitcase unpacked and put away, still working on the second one.
I got my Spark book and Coach Nicole's DVDs to help me out. Just need to get over this jet lag and wake up again.
Now to start my countdown to May

This was my last weekend in my home in the USA until next May, 2011. I don't know where the past 4 1/2 months have gone but they are gone and it's now time for that 11 1/2 hour non-stop flight back overseas and back in time. No more pork of any kind, no more alcohol of any kind, no more TLC tv, no more WalMart, no more gym time until May.
The up side to leaving the USA it will be in the 40's-50's, landing will be 90-110 and humid, no more shopping, no more sweets, no more snacking on yummy stuff, no turning on the heat and no snow, no rain, my furbabies will be happy to see me and hopefully back to cross stitching.
I did gain 7 lbs since May eating good food that I don't get from Oct-May but I did get in more exercise. Sometime next week I will get back on track better and lose those pounds. My weekends will be Thursday and Friday again, I will be 8 hours ahead of the USA.
This will be a rough week and very hard to say good bye to my friends and family, but then the countdown begins until May.

I do know better to trust a scale sitting in the damp basement of a gym but for the most part I've gotten on the scale after a dr. appt. and it's been fairly accurate, so let's hope so this time. Last week at the dr.'s office I weighed 156, checked the scale in the gym and said the same thing. Checked the scale today and it said 151.2, I was excited! Must be the fact that I'm not going out to eat every night and trying to eat better.
On the other hand, after the gym tonight I stopped by Dunkin Donuts and got a large hot cider drink then put Hiram Walker Pumpkin Spice liquer and a cinnamon stick to eat with my chili. MMMMM, warmed me right up on this chilly, damp New Hampshire evening. I did have a good workout at the gym too.

I know what you are thinking, "well you SHOULD be eating healthy to begin with". Well I try. The thing is this, from Oct - May I live overseas in the Middle EAst where pork and alcohol is forbidden and against the law plus the restaurants are all big name American chain restaurants and the traffic to go anywhere is beyond miserable. So when my husband and I are here in the USA on vacation, we take full advantage of going out to good local places, not the chains. I do try to chose the healthy choices but I am tired of denying myself good food that I like. So we go out to eat a lot while we're here. my husband has now gone back overseas which means I don't go out to eat my myself so it's back to chicken, fish, chicken, fish, vegetables and salad for 2 weeks. Then nothing but chicken, fish, bean dishes, chicken, salad and more chicken until next May.
Now to go through the fridge and clean out the junk!
