I am getting excited. On Sunday June 26, our New Hampshire teams are having a SparkPeople meet & greet gathering. This will be the the 3rd gathering. WE had 2 last summer and I hope we can continue to meet over the summer. If you are a New Hampshire SparkPerson and would like to attend our picnic, check with your New Hampshire Spark team leaders for more information, we would LOVE to meet you!
Today's magic number is..........8 !!!!! 7 days, one week from today, Wednesday, I leave for the airport to begin a 14 hour trip back to the USA. 8 days until I arrive in the USA for 4 1/2 months of fun!
One of my best, closest and dearest friends will hopefully get to come visit. She planned to come last year but was rushed to the hospital just a few hours before she was supposed to leave. She was diagnosed with lung cancer that had spread to her brain. She has undergone chemo and mega drugs. She is doing ok and no new cells have popped up. Her hair is growing back. She is taking this pretty well. I am so very excited to see her and a couple of our other friends may just come up to see her so we'll have a girlie weekend! Woo Hoo, can't wait!

I got this in an e-mail the other day and thought I would share. I checked Snopes and they are unsure but leaning towards positive.
You fill a ziplock bag with water and 5 or 6 pennies and hang it in the problem area. Supposedly flies go away. The story says that is a trick that restaurants use.
So another week starts for me today, haven't exercised since last Sunday but on weekends I do make more stretching and exercise moves out of housework.
12 is today's magic number! 12 more days until the plane I am on touches down on American soil at JFK airport! (Edited to add I am NOT US Military in any way, shape or form, just an American born & raised citizen who lives overseas for 8 months of the year and am returning home for my annual vacation)

Last night DH read where all the flights from here in Saudi to the US and Europe were suspended due to that ash cloud in Europe. I was not happy but there isn't much I could do to re-route a flight anywhere since I would have to go to Europe or northern Africa to get anywhere and they still would fly up over Iceland and Greenland, the Polar route. Today the paper said the flights were back on so let's all keep our fingers crossed all flights stay on track.
I haven't exercised since Sunday again. I am simply losing momentum and no amount of "you can do it", "come on, let's go" , pats on the back, motivation will work, nothing. I don't know weather to let it wear off and take each day as it comes or out right force myself to get upstairs and exercise weather I want to or not. DH came home with 2 boxes of Nestle Fitness whole grain cereal the other day because they had fitness DVD's free inside the box. One is for cardio and the other looks like it's pilates yoga. He is so very good about finding stuff to help me and support me.
The other day while our power was out (we were notified well in advance and I was prepared with a days worth of projects I could with out electric) I sat and picked up a cross stitch project that my niece asked me to fix. While sitting for an hour fixing it, I began to realize how much I really missed sitting down to stitch for about 4-6 + more hours a day. I used to LOVE to stitch, that was my addiction, stitching. Then SparkPeople came along and my stitching is non-existent to the point I don't enjoy looking at new patterns, floss, fabric, nor do I enjoy visiting my many cross stitch boards. This has to stop, I need to stitch, that is my therapy. So I may re-consider the amount of time I spend here on SparkPeople and stitch more.
