I missed my sweat!

Wednesday, April 14, 2010

I know, how can I miss sweating, but I guess I did. First of all I don't sweat much when I work out no matter how hard I push. I'm not one of those people you see dripping sweat everywhere and running down their face, neck etc. I get damp but don't pour sweat. For awhile I was doing my cardio with the Leslie Sansone Walk Away The Pounds videos. Some were easy and some were a challenge. I stuck with the challenge video for 2 weeks then when I got burnt out I went back to using another of her videos that was slower. Eventually I went back to her beginning video, the original 2 mile walk that I would restart when it ended. Then I decided no more, I had to push. So for the last 2 days I went back to her 5 mile Challenge walk and I really feel better because I worked up a rolling sweat! Then after reading the article yesterday that I posted on my blog about the Lift Heavier Weights with Fewer Reps for Toning and Fat Loss, I picked up the 8.8 pound weights and used those. That was a workout and it felt good. Today I did another 51 minute challenge walk with Leslie, 2 bootcamp videos and 30 minutes of exercises and I was sweating good again and it felt better! I think if I sweat good enough, I feel like I did something.

42 more days until I am back home in New Hampshire and I can join the gym again since last year when I got home, it rained for 6 straight weeks. I'll have my gym buddy again (who is also my Spark Team leader)and she really helps the workout go so much faster. 42 more days until I get to hug and kiss my son, grandson, daughter and other grandson, I can't wait!
Then we'll have our New Hampshire Spark Teams Meet & Greet (ALL NEW HAMPSHIRE SPARK TEAMS and ALL NEW HAMPSHIRE SPARK PEOPLE are invited to join) so we can put faces to names and share secrets and tips and good healthy food.

HAVE A GREAT WEDNESDAY! It's our Friday here, our weekend!

Great hints & tips! Thank you!! I will definitely need to work on getting my strength training up to 3 times a week from 2 times a week. I am sure it would make a heck of a difference!

Although, 2 times is 2 times more than I did 2 months ago!

Still doing the bootcamp

Monday, April 12, 2010

I'm on day 10 of the Sweatsuit to Swimsuit bootcamp. I'm doing this mostly by myself but posting the exercises and daily challenges on 3 teams I lead/co-lead. So I've done them all. I did this bootcamp last year and wanted to repeat it. I also joined the SparkPeople's Official Plateau Buster Challenge team. Still nothing is working to delete these pounds. All I can say is only 40 some more days until I get HOME to the USA and can talk to a Dr. to see if my thyroid is out of whack again.

Been reading blogs today too, came across one persons blog. All I can say is this is one sad person, this person has 5 aliases she uses to talk to herself and she begged people to read her blog and leave comments and be her friend, then nominate her for motivator of the day/week/month. Her 5 aliases belong to 1 main team but 1 screen name belongs to 43 teams. I couldn't really read what she was talking about because of the spelling/grammer thing and the "text" language thing. I moved on to a really inspiring blog and a couple of hilarious blogs. I hope that lady gets some help.

Glad to hear about the Plateau Busting team for my team members needing it. This SP site is so full of opportunities, I sometimes forget or haven't gotten to them yet.

Glad you will be home to check with Dr. soon. emoticon

Tuesday, April 06, 2010

This is the 5th time I've tried to upload this.
We had a sandstorm on Easter Sunday. Here is some of what it looked like.

Very nice video. It probably was not much fun to experience a sand storm because blowing sand hurts when it hits your skin.

Bootcamp revisited

Monday, April 05, 2010

Today is day 3 of Sweatsuit to Swimsuit Bootcamp revisited. I am doing this bootcamp to help boost my exercise a bit. I am doing this bootcamp on 3 teams that I lead to help keep me accountable and do the exercise. So far I've done 3 days and the challenge exercises.

4 times now I have tried to upload a video clip of our sandstorm yesterday but it says it's 100% done and sits there for 2 hours and does nothing so I gave up. I walked over to our little store about 10:30AM to get a couple of things. CAme home and started cooking. I looked up around 11 and the sky was that eerie orange. You couldn't see the villas across the street, it was miserable. The sandstorm died down about 4PM but everything is a mess. It was 104 in the afternoon. It's like a blast furnace when you open the door.

On to day 4............

I have not been able to upload anything onto the website from here. Don't know what the problem is so there are no photos for others to look at.
