Lights OUT tonight!

Today they are observing "Earth Hour" from 8:30-9:30PM. It's not manditory but DH and I will turn our lights, computers and tv off. You can read more about it here and I hope YOU participate too!

I did my WATP exercise today and strength training.
Got my menu planned for the week, the diabetes menu.

Max cat did come back in last night.

So much for my world today.

Oh yeah, 60 DAYS UNTIL I'M IN THE USA!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    I think I'll try it. Computers and t.v. will be the tough ones to turn off but we might find something else to do in the dark...

    I would observe the lights out but I have to be at work at 11 pm and so I will have to have 1 light on in the bathroom and use my blow dryer. I recycle and use minimum lights anyway.

Friday here is like Sunday in the real world.

Max showed up today, he looked ok. Took him in the hosue and gave him something to eat but he wanted to go back outside. Haven't seen him in a few hours now so he must have gone back to the neighbors house again.

Did the usual laundry today, roasted some raw peanuts and made some home made peanut butter. Not a whole lot else happening.

    Good suggestion on those that try to sabotage us. As we grow stronger, some of those people will disappear from our lives.
Do you have a good recipe for Peanut butter, I tried to make some a couple months ago and it didn't turn out well.

    I've got my "going to the US" countdown on too. We are leaving for a vacation in Florida in three days and I am so excited!

Today is like Friday in the real world, getting ready for the weekend.
Spot kitty goes back to the vets tomorrow to see if his ear is better. Max cat the one that we nursed from a broken leg back to better has disappeared into thin air. I have a feeling the neighbors have him in their house and won't let him out but here, you can't go knocking on doors and asking.

I must be on an exercise burn out because I just can't get the ambition up to do any. I did do cardio and resistance band workout today but it wasn't with much enthusiasm, same as yesterday. I got it done but that was about it. I am slowly running out of steam but i know I have to stick with it.

Plus size home furnishings

Who would have thought there is a place that has plus size home furnishings? They have larger chairs, computer chairs, an XL umbrella, a 1000-lb scale, XL outside beach chairs, and it's a plus size women's clothing site. I know the idea of SparkPeople is ot lose weight and get healthy but it IS nice to know these things are out there. Here is the link to check out the site:

    WOW - I think it is great to be able to offer this type of thing - however, I also feel that it is allowing a larger size to only get larger. Health has to be the strong point - not always on just size - but I know being so very large isn't healthy at all. when my mom was alive, she was a large lady, and when she couldn't fit into a chair all it did was make her feel bad about herself and that didn't help her at all so perhaps having a way to have a larger chair, she would have been a bit happier and more willing to see the positive side and be happier and then have more success in life?? so perhaps is could be good too. very interesting either way. thanks for sharing! and WOO HOO 63 days!!

    I don't know how I feel about that. Our society really does make it easy for people to gain weight between the food, clothes and furnishings.

Part of me losing weight (in the beginning) was that I could never find nice clothes in a size 16. It frustrate me to high hell and that's when I put my foot down. Had that frustration not been there because of the vast supply of nice overweight clothes, I think I would be well over size 16 by this point instead of a healthy size 6.

    I work as a nurse in a hospital and we've had to add many things to accommodate the morbidly and super obese. emoticon

Today is like Tuesday in the real world. I did my cardio and had a great full body workout. It seems like I work up a better sweat and my heart rate gets up more during my strength training workouts than when I do my cardio. At least I know I am getting a decent workout.
Saturday I wasted again, I was checking up on my family on facebook and got off in now where land on some game and spend the day there. Kind of blew my day off but I did get in a 40 minute strength training workout.

I did get to talk to my son today, he is doing ok, he sounds better but is still stressed out.
Tomorrow DH & I are supposed to go to the travel agent and talk vacation tickets for me.

So, that is my story for today
