After using 2KG & 3KG dumbbells for over a year now for my strength training and not seeing any progress, I asked my husband last night what was I doing wrong. I am not pushing it enough and lifting to the point of muscle failure or fatigue. So I am going to push it up and try harder. I did that today and now I know the difference of "just doing 1 set of 10-12 reps" and muscle fatigue. I pushed it up to 15 reps for 2 sets and really noticed the difference. So now after my arms rest on Monday, I'll give it another go on Tuesday. He has been doing this for several years, he's by no means a pro or a hulk but he does it to stay healthy.
After last weeks scale peak at 150 again, the numbers have gone back down to 148 today. Not really noticeable to me by any means and I'm still really discouraged and feel like a blimp. Yesterday was the first day in over a week that I managed to get down 8 cups of water again and I am so puffed up from that. (No, it's not PMS or anything like that, I don't get that anymore) If I get 8 or more hours of sleep, I'm exhausted and worthless the whole day. 6-7 is ok but I'm still tired. It doesn't matter what time I got to bed or get up, I'm just blah.
