A good workout today

My back seems to be a lot better but I do have a stopping point. Today I did a 2 1/2 mile Walk Away The Pounds video working the lower body & core. That was a great workout mixed with high intensity moves. Then I did 2 boot camp videos working the core and lower body again. I can feel that I did a good job today.

Still drinking my 8 cups/2 litres of water a day. It's not really easier but I do notice that my blood sugar levels are down since drinking all that water. I have stopped going to the bathroom as much at night too.

I also started another cross stitch project last night. This one is for Thanksgiving called Give Thanks.

    I'm so glad you're drinking the water and drinking more than you used to. I also could tell that my BS were down when I drank a lot of water. I try to stay away from soda, coffee, and tea. Good job, Robin.

Feeling better today

What a miserable couple of days! I was fine on Thursday. Went grocery shopping, did a few things around the house, DH went and got Indian food for dinner. I knew I would have to go to the bathroom a lot after dinner because of the grease in the food which is something I don't eat on a daily basis. Somewhere in the middle of the night I didn't feel right. I slept curled up under the blanket which is rare for me, I felt feverish, I ached all over, my sinuses were clogged and I kept going to the bathroom. I couldn't get comfortable no matter how I slept.
I laid down on the couch about 6AM and still couldn't get comfortable. My back hurt like crazy, I could hardle move. DH took my temp and it was 99.5, not real high. No stomach ache, I could pee normal, no pain except severe back pain and achy all over. I felt a little better after taking Excedrine. I tried to eat some chicken soup and crackers, broth and fruit but mostly slept.
I slept for almost 12 hours Friday night on the couch. Saturday the ache was gone, the sinuses had drained but my back pain hurt so bad. the Excedrine & Tylneol didn't do much and I had limited range of motion. I checked web sites for Swine flu symptoms and didn't have that, checked for kidney stones and didn't have any symptoms of that so we narrowed it down to a severely pulled muscle from exercising on Wednesday.

Today I feel better, I can move without pain and I can walk normal.

I've been on track with 8 cups of water a day for over a week now and I've been back in this miserable place for 3 weeks now. I still need to get my sleep schedule back on track so I feel awake enough to walk outside by 8:30AM.

    Glad you're better now! Also glad you didn't have kidney stones - those are awful! Take care of yourself and go slow......

    wow glad that passed for you - what a terrible 2 days for you - but so glad your back is fine! must have been a few things hitting you all at the same moment. stay on track with that water to keep flushing your system! sounds like you need it. take care of you.

    It sounds like you might have had 2 different things going on. The back ache may be independent of the stomach discomfort and overall achyness. Maybe the latter was part of a 24-hour bug. Hope the back continues to improve, so you can get back to exercise pain-free.

You're doing great with the water! Keep it up.

WOO HOO! The Yankees won the 2009 Baseball World Series! YAY YAY YAY! What a GREAT start for the new Stadium! What am I going to do until March?

We got the frozen turkey today, a 10lb Butterball turkey-we LOVE leftovers.

Interesting Peroxide information.

I KNEW about some of these but some are new to me.

1. Take one capful (the little white cap that comes with the bottle) and hold in your mouth for 10 minutes daily, then spit it out. (I do it when I bathe)

No more canker sores and your teeth will be whiter without expensive pastes. Use it instead of mouthwash. (Small print says mouth wash and gargle right on the bottle)

2. Let your toothbrushes soak in a cup of "Peroxide" to keep them free of germs.

3. Clean your counters, table tops with peroxide to kill germs and leave a fresh smell. Simply put a little on your dishrag when you wipe, or spray it on the counters.

4. After rinsing off your wooden cutting board, pour peroxide on it to kill salmonella and other bacteria.

5. I had fungus on my fee t for years - until I sprayed a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water on them (especially the toes) every night and let dry.

6. Soak any infections or cuts in 3% peroxide for five to ten minutes several times a day. My husband has seen gangrene that would not heal with any medicine, but was healed by so aking in peroxide.

7. Fill a spray bottle with a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water and keep it in every bathroom to disinfect without harming your septic system like bleach or most other disinfectants will.

8. Tilt your head back and spray into nostrils with your 50/50 mixture whenever you have a cold, or plugged sinuses. It will bubble and help to kill the bacteria. Hold for a few minutes then blow your nose into a tissue.

9. If you have a terrible toothache and cannot get to a dentist right away, put a capful of 3% peroxide into your mouth and hold it for ten minutes several times a day. The pain will lessen greatly.

10. And of course, if you like a natural look to your hair, spray the 50/50 solution on your wet hair after a shower and comb it through. You will not have the peroxide burnt blonde hair like the hair dye packages, but more natural highlights if your hair is a light brown, reddish, or dirty blonde . It also lightens gradually so it's not a drastic change.

11. Put half a bottle of peroxide in your bath to help rid boils, fungus, or other skin infections.

12. You can also add a cup of peroxide instead of bleach to a load of whites in your laundry to whiten them. If there is blood on clothing, pour directly on the soiled spot. Let it sit for a minute, then rub it and rinse with cold water. Repeat if necessary.

13. I use peroxide to clean my mirrors with, and there is no smearing which is why I love it so much for this.

I could go on and on. It is a little brown bottle no home should be without! With prices of most necessities rising, I'm glad there's a way to save tons of money in such a simple, healthy manner.

    I had heard of this before but have been lazy using it. I also forget easily. I will try to remember. My mom has told me about this and uses it to get out splinters. It boils up and the splinter loosens up. Thanks Reese.

    I actually have 2 bottles on my kitchen counter. I attached a sprayer and use one full strength and the other diluted. I never thought of using it to clean nostrils - I'll try it. emoticon

    Thank you for this information. I did not know any of this. Since I dislike the dentist greatly, I may take your advice about the peroxide for whiter teeth and tooth pain, but maybe not as often or for as long.

I will be buying a bottle of peroxide this week. I will also be saving this blog as a reference. Thanks again!!!

    We are reminded of something useful everyday.

I use it to clean fruits and veggies, after rinsing them give them a quick spray of straight peroxide and let air dry. (That suggestion came from an oncologist)

And Reese, you go to the same dentist I do? Got the same advice from the hygenist on Monday!

    This is wonderful information! I love peroxide too! But you added uses that I was not aware of! Just some additional information that may be useful: Recently at a dentist appointment I was told that I should discontinue my daily use of peroxide. It seems that not only does perioxide kill all the bad bacteria while rinsing, but the good bacterias too! She suggested I rinse with peroxide only once or twice a week.

Day 6 & Go Yankees!!

They are 1 win away from a World Series win!! WOO HOO! I don't know if I want them to win it all tonight in Philadelphia or wait and win it at home in their new stadium. I was up at 5:30 this morning and watched the game from the 2nd inning on but fell asleep for an hour or so.

This is day 6 of the 8 cups of water every day and I still get up every hour on the hour during the night to go to the bathroom. So much for getting 8 hours of sleep every night.

I have been doing my Leslie Sansone Walk Away The Pounds videos every day for a week now. Still only at 2- 2 1/2 miles at a time but I'm getting there.
