SparkPeople work out clothing reviews

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

I have ordered several items at different times from the SparkPeople store and I have to say the exercise pants www.sparkpeoplestore.com/product.cfm
I could live in! They are SO comfortable and really move wtih me. Since I am short, they are full length pants and not the capri length. I also have a belly and the pants do stay up where I like them. SO TOTALLY WORTH THE PRICE! And CHEAPER than what I have seen in ANY of the outlet stores near me!
The Ladies V Neck Performance Wear Sleeveless Top
is great as well. Unfortunately the tops are not made for odd shaped people, I had to buy an XL to fit my bust measurement so it is large in the arm hole. Another item WORTH THE PRICE!
The SparkPeople Unisex Performance Shirt
Is another GREAT shirt. I bought the unixex size because of price. I don't understand why the women's style is more expensive than the men's shirt. I could have gone down a size and bought a L instead of XL but I wanted to make sure it fit.
The regular SparkPeople t-shirts are very comfortable as well and I wear them all over.

I am not happy with the SparkPeople water bottle, I think they need to put on a "sport bottle top", the kind that just pop open rather than a screw top because the top on mine does get stuck sometimes and it does spill out when I open it too fast. It does not keep the water any colder or warmer than normal. www.sparkpeoplestore.com/product.cfm

I love to show off my Spark!

Are you going to show off your spark gear when they have spark day? You could do it for the town you're living in when it comes up. That should be soon. I will have to click on subscribe to this blog again as I've not been receiving them. I've also been backed up.

I'm a slacker

Tuesday, June 16, 2009

I've been really slacking lately in blogging and exercising and I need to change that. It's been raining every day for almost a week so that has my walking motivation shot and I just get so into flipping through the tv channels just because I can and because I am in control of the TV remote because there are so MANY more tv channels on my tv at HOME.

I also love every minute I have had with my kids and grandsons.
It's also bike week here in New Hampshire so I am going to that for a day or two just because I CAN!
I've also been trying to clean up the house and clean things out, sort through things I don't want anymore and just enjoying being HOME!

I forgot to add that I finally got a chance to walk this morning! I did a 2.3 mile walk in 45 minutes today, then I did a WATP video this afternoon! Woo Hoo!

It's been a GREAT day!

Monday, June 08, 2009

For starters, I walked up to the end of our road and back this morning, 2.75 miles, WOO HOO, that is a milestone walk for me. I didn't get out of breath, no foxes, and I even jogged a bit.

Then I had a good dr. visit. They were happy with my weight loss, my blood pressure was 112/78 which is GREAT! She looked over my blood test results from April and said they were good except for the Triglicerides which I will work on. She also told me that my GYN dr is back and will make an appt with her, YAY YAY, she is such a great dr, very patient friendly. She will also make an appt with the diabetic nutritionist ASAP. How awesome!

And the Yankees game is on tv tonight! Woo Hoo!

Yessiree, it is a good day today!

Robin I'm so glad you're having great luck with the Drs. Thats great about your Cholesterol and HBP which is normal now. You're doing the right things. Just goes to show spark people know what they're talking about. Do you do jump rope exercises in boot camp? Perhaps you should increase your length of milage if you arn't out of breath.

But, but, there was a fox in the middle of the road

Friday, June 05, 2009

That's why I didn't walk any further this morning. I know, a lousy excuse but it was really watching me close. I came up a hill and around a curve in the road and there down the road a bit was a fox standing in the middle of the road watching me. I just stopped and froze and watched it watch me. After a few minutes it trotted off in the bushes on the side of the road so I turned around and came back towards home but walked on passed the house.

I've gotten extra exercise today by going up and down stairs doing laundry and cleaning more. It's STILL GOOD TO BE HOME!

We have foxes coming through our back yard quite often. Several years ago we had one that liked to hang out by the driveway - used to watch DD play basketball there - probably about 20 feet away...

    LOL, Robin, a fox, huh?
My mom lives up in Warren (very small rural town, up past the town dump. She was really into jogging for a while and would come home from work and set off down the hill.
One day, as she was jogging along, a car pulled over and the lady inside warned her about a bear just a bit down the road. Mom thanked her and promptly turned and ran back up the hill towards home.
Mom had issues with that bear waiting along the side of the road for a couple of weeks before deciding she wasn't gonna let that bear interfere with her exercise plan. So from that point on, she wore a walkman and would sing along at the top of her voice as she was jogging along. No problems with bears after that!!
One nice weekend, not long after she'd gotton back on her running schedule, my sister and I and our families were doing a campout on the hill up above my parents house. All of a sudden, we heard twigs and sticks breaking along the snowmobile trail that ran through the woods behind us...and mom singing some country song as loud as she could. Suddenly she broke out into the clearing and all we could do was laugh.
Sorry so long, lol, I just had to tell the story! But mom certainly was determined to get that exercise in.
Me, I don't think I could think I could jog and sing, lol, especially not in those hills in her area.

Another nice walk

Thursday, June 04, 2009

Today I went to the other end of our road, the dead end. It was another nice, cool and refreshing walk. According to the SparkPeople route tracker, it was 2.43 miles and I walked it in 54 minutes. Tomorrow I'll have to walk to the other end of the road to the highway.

I also got energized to get things straightened up and put away. Took a good hour of up and down, in and out, back and forth. Now to do 5 loads of laundry tomorrow which is more up & down stairs. Ahhhh, it's good to be home!
