In just one week from today-Monday

I will be back home on US soil for 5 months, I can't wait. I told DH today that I miss him already and I'm not gone yet.

I am increasing my exercise intensity for this week hoping that will kick start the weight loss again. I'm upping my Walk Away The Pounds level to more intense along with the boot camp videos. I'm also alternating upper body with lower body workouts form the January bootcamp, I like those videos too.
My son's girlfriend said my packages came from SparkPeople so I can't wait to see them.

Last month I offered to help one of my team's leaders and now he has quit the team. He belonged to other teams and just didn't have time for our team. I don't know what to do to revive the team if they even want that. I've e-mailed the team and asked if they want to consolidate the team with another one almost the same. I'm just at a total loss.

First off THANK YOU to those that left a comment on yesterdays blog entry. I have come a long way since last July and I try to stay motivated and up beat. I just have to pull myself back up and get going again. I just have to figure out which way to go with the calorie range vs exercise intensity. I did take my measurements today and not 1 inch gone, I don't think I'm doing the bootcamp exercises right if I'm not losing inches. Something isn't right.

One week from today I will be ready to go HOME! As the time gets closer I get sort of depressed about leaving my DH behind by himself (there's a LONNNNNG and not so nice story behind those feelings) but I also love my freedom to go and do what I want, when I want, how I want and while whomever I want without being told NO YOU CAN'T DO THAT.

Yesterday I did 50 minutes of Walk away The Pounds, made it 3 miles! I did 2 days of Boot camp videos, another 20 minute upper body dumb bell workout, not to mention up and down stairs a few more times. I felt like I accomplished something but not sure what.
That's my story for the day.

    Don't worry Robin you're making progress. I don't know exactly how you feel because I've never had a DH but I can imagine that you would miss him because when I leave my family I feel lonely too. However I too like my freedom which I don't get at home because of my family and when I'm by myself I have such relaxation from not being under the stress of family.

After those weeks of doing SO well and so thrilled about the possibility of losing another 2 pounds and almost at my goal for May, I gained! Not 1 pound but 3! I watched what I ate, I exercised, I counted calories and made sure to eat within my calorie range and I still gained. Not at all happy with that. So I think I will go back to sticking to the absoulte lowest end of my calorie intake level. That seemed to work the best for me.
Although it could possibly be that when the Dr. lowered my dose of the thyroid pill that is finally kicking in and having some effect. I know I have skipped a day here and there of exercise but I can really feel it today. I know I shouldn't beat myself up over it but I am so disappointed about it. Good thing I have a Dr.'s appointment for June 8 so I can discuss this issue and then ask for an American diabetic nutritionist. I also plan to try and find a gym in my area.

9 more days & I'll be HOMEin the USA for 5 wonderful months! I can't wait but at the same time I know I'll miss my DH for those 2 1/2 months until he comes home.

    Why not pull out your measuring tape and see if perhaps you have lost inches, with all of that exercise? It's a real possibility: and muscle does weigh more than fat. emoticon

    After gaining for 4 months I finally lost 3 lbs. last month. I know how that feels to gain. I don't think you'll really have to worry about that though. You could have gained muscle. As for the clock I know what you mean. I only watch it when I get up to go to the restroom. Sometimes its close to when I get up for the day and then I stay up. Don't worry Robin you're making progress with all that exercise and with the boot camp.

    I know just how you feel! You work so hard, and it feels as though it was all for nothing.

But you know that all the work you're putting in is for a reason. Even if the scale doesn't show it, you're getting healthier and fitter, and becoming a stronger person inside and out. Just keep going and you WILL reach your goals!

    Oh, sweetie, can I ever relate! You KNOW what I have been going through for the past 7 weeks. I am on plan number three from my dietitian now to try and get me losing again. It is so discouraging to be doing all of the right things and get no good news from the scale. I have felt much better staying off of it until my official weigh in at the dietitian. Just keep making the right choices, Know you are getting healthier every day.

I've had weigh-ins like that too!

My DH says the adrenaline around excitement for a new event interferes with the basic metabolism. I don't believe him, but it does happen often when something out of the ordinary (either positive or negative) is going on in my life.

Great workout today!

The allergies are better today, no sneezing.
I did 45 minutes of the Walk Away The Pounds express video which was 2 1/2 miles. A faster pace video and a GREAT workout.
Bootcamp workout video for day 10 and day 11.
What a GREAT workout today! I'm energized now.

12 more days and I'll be HOME, WOO HOO can't wait.

The Sparkpeople store got back to me the other day and straightened out the mix up with the water bottle so I placed an order today for the exercise shirt and the water bottle.

UGH, Sneeze, blow, sneeze, blow

Woke up this morning all plugged up and have been sneezing and blowing my nose all day. I think it's the weather/allergies. Last night it thundered & lighteninged and rained a bit so I think the weather pattern changed and it hurts. Sad part is, it will be worse when I get HOME to the mountains in 13 days when all the trees are coming to live. So I'll have to tell son to please get me some allergy pills before I get home.

Still waiting to hear back from SparkPeople about an item I want to order. I e-mailed them on Saturday but didn't hear back on Monday. The stainless steel water bottle is advertised as 10.00 but when I put it in my cart, it's 12.00. What's up with that?

Dad is HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL! YAY YAY! He went home on Monday, he's doing ok but needs to rest. Thank you for your prayers!

Still doing daily boot camp workouts, this one is a bit more challenging than the last one and I feel it working!

    I'm glad your father is home. My Dr. orders singulair for me and it really helps with the allergies. You don't get stopped up or congested or anything. You still sneeze but it doesn't affect you that much. Ask and see if you can get it.

    Sorry to hear that you are feeling "under the weather" with your allergies. I'm sure you are relieved that your father is out of the hospital. Take care of yourself and hopefully the medication will help by the time you get to your home in the mountains!
